wouldnt it be cool if the dossiers come the attached picture of how the peeps in command of the mech/vehicles look like??

that way we can visualize better how they actually look...

i especially love the character picture of ANASTASIA KERENSKY in the first (or was it second) dark age book. (she was in the cover along with that rots-to be guy)

It's interesting - there actually is ONE case where this has already happened: The Steel Wolf Infantry set - Tora herself standing next to her hoverbike... and I do have to say, she's not too hard on the eyes.. to say the least, lol

I remember I think it was an old Classic Battletech Scenario set - the Fox's Teeth, had pics for all three or four lances of a mercenary unit :) It was cool ^_^

I wouldn't mind them maybe putting out a TRO-type book that has more detailed biographies on each of the pilots, with colored pictures of the pilots and 'Mechs :)

Next thing that you will want is a calendar -- The Girls & Guys of Mechwarrior.

If they can sell a calendar of the girls from Dead or Alive Volleyball, then someone can do it for mechwarrior.

They could start by actually putting the 'Mech's picture in the dossier...

I think that's a couple so far that I've seen that have a stupid little error message where the pic should be.

maybe their artists have a problem drawing the black knight that would appeal to us (marauder II anyone?) or fluff wise, this mech is so rare that even pictures of it are hard to find (or hard to draw).

I really wish Wizkids will stop reusing the same drawing to show the mechs like in Gus dossier. The picture is the same as Angus , minus the racks. Is it so hard to redraw a new one ?

It probably is. I'm not sure if WK has a dedicated in house graphics artist, or if they do, it seems like there's only one and he or she is still pretty new to it. I don't want to be unkind but judging from some of the CG art from the very first release of the Dark Age set as well as some of the earlier desktop backgrounds WK released on their website, I think some of us got the impression that they have a pretty amateur artist working for them or, as seems more likely to me, they just have one of their other employees who dabbles in graphic design working double duty.

They've certainly improved a lot, as the Death from Above and Liao Incursion art shows, either that or they hired a real artist, but it still seems like they either only have one dedicated artist on staff for each game or they contract out to a graphics design house only periodically, like for new expansion box art.

There's also the very likely possibility that I'm all wrong and they have a topnotch team of talented designers there in Bellevue, but if so then I'm not sure why they're not releasing lots more artwork. Maybe they're focused on drawing the release art for all the other games WK dabbles in all the time.

One has to wonder how the recent layoffs at WK could effect the artwork for the company in the future as well.
