Well I got on my computer after school today excited to see the new sneak peak. I open up the Wiz Kids site and there it is possibly one of the best tanks in the game and it has AA for that matter. I scrolled through the factions getting one and find BR is getting one good for them they need it. Then I see SS and SW get one and me the HL player doesn't. So I guess I'm complaining casue the only descent AA unit we have is an LE and here's SS getting a 3rd one. I'm really getting tired of getting screwed over like this all the time. I barelly have enough useful pieces as it is for competitive play and know they completely destroy 2 of them (Donar, Shun). Oh well I guess that's my rant for the day. So what do all you other HLs out there think about this. 2nd preview of the set and so far both have just reflected how much WK hates us with a useless mech that could have been so much more and geeting the short end of the stick on a peice we need and deserve.
thought the same...maybe we get the LE again...going to be expensive...
i'm getting used to get the ####...playing the "expect the worst and hope for the best" - faction makes a bit indifferent after some time :grin:
I wouldnt say that these things make our VTOLs useless. I'd be willing to wager that the attack values are only 8-9. Even a 9 attack needs a 12 to hit a HL Donar... twice, if it doesnt have AP (which it appears some of these do). Not great odds. 9 attack needs a 14 to hit the 23 defense on our Shun. Anyway, I dont know that I'd be bothered too much by not seeing one of these units as HL. Still lots of unseen unit slots in the set. Hopefully there will be other AA equipment, some of it in HL colors.
One thing I would like to see is an "AP does not negate decoy" change. Its kinda a common sense thing, and it isnt as if AP would be made useless by only negating 3 other SE instead of 4. Would make our Donar a bit better.
Not nessisarily true...our Shun has a 23 in the air...they're likely going to need a 13+ to hit it...VERY Tough...Just use 1 of those 2 infantry to tie the bugger up...
Screwed again? Bah! I think not. The new rules changes (if they go through as is) will make people actually have to roll dice vs HL defence values to deal the majority of their damage now.... Good times for me as well since I play Liao.
Before thinking that the HL Donar and Shun just became useless, realize they haven't revealed the attack values yet. If these are only 8-9 attack, then our Donar still has a good fighting chance and our Shun is still able to fly with a decent confidence level into this thing's range.
Man, you guys DO complain alot.
And now that we've all jumped to the conclusion that this is the only AA unit in the expansion, let's all consider that maybe there's going to be other units with AA, now.
This is what's wrong with this stupid design process.
Melicien Tetro - 17 clicks of life, 10 attack, stable stats, heat dial, secondary attacks, close combat capability, free spin, speed mode 'Mech, can run, charge for 6 AP.
Tank - maybe 7-8 clicks of life at the most (more likely 5-6), 8-9 attack, rapid stat decline, takes damage for pushing, speed mode Track, can ram for 2 AP.
