I'd disagree with Athos on the Cheese comment - the RotS Balac may be good, but everyone knows that if it takes a potshot at you, it'll regret it next turn. Similarly, the TFAs may be decent damage dealers, but in this force they'll be stationary, which is a big weakness. If this was using SS units, with mounds of AP and Whirly-birds with 16 inch ranges, THEN the Cheese comment would be closer to the mark :)
What this force does lack is ranged, sustainable firepower. With the Balacs keeping Infantry and light vehicles on their toes, I'd be tempted to drop the TFAs and bring in something a tad more substantial - I hate to say it, but a couple of 3Ts (Telly Tubby Tanks) would fit in nicely
Either that, or drop a Balac and both TFAs, making up the difference with 2 Fridge Twos and a couple more Guila Suits - these lil' felas shouldn't be dissed :)
To make one thing clear: I did not mean this army is cheesy. :)
I just may just look like this way to your opponent when you put 3 Balacs and 2 artillery pieces on the field. I played a nearly identical army plus support at faction war against a Bannson's Raiders army and wiped the floor with it. All units are strong, but in no way cheesy or unfair. The DI Towed hits hard, but tends to miss alot when you got no clear LOS to the marker. Also, one good charge will kill it from the start. The Balac is nice and brutal vs infantry, but most likely you are 10 inches away when you have shot. And a VTOL is such a nice target....
The only cheese VTOL I found recently is the SS Balac. If it just had 12 or max. 14 inches, than it would be balanced IMO.... but now you can shoot at anything except AA without being worried about counterfire. Thats too strong.
