Alright in an upcoming HtH I want to win The Edge (we've agreed to make it the champ prize since we 3 want it) and well so do the other 2 guys that play at my venue and based on so many old battles with them i have a general idea of what to expect.

One will probly play 2 cheap costing artillery units like SSw towed AA's and a forestry mech B as well as a BR sprint with a fa shih in it. the rest he either takes is random or 2 j-37's and some random if hes got points left over. The other plays no mech, a Di Sh di towed, kennith scourchers and a few CBA's a SSw balac and a few peasants to meat shield.

Heres my army for right now so gimme your opinions

DF Spider- 93 points

2 DF Donars -104 points

KotS Balac - 48 points

3 DF trike's - 32 points

1 Sw Trike - 13 points

Ok the basic plan here is to infiltrate the bikes tie stuff up and get the Donars , Balac and Spider up then have a donar go balac hunting while the other donar and spider go artillery hunting (and forestry mech hunting) and the balac goes infantry hunting.

I dont have arnis or the DF valient and I have a few days, so I can go over in better detail of what I do and dont have.

Replace it with somthing else. Also what point total is your army? Is it right at 300 or is it less? Im sure you better uses for 13 points then a SW Trike Squad. If you know what your opponets are playing why not just build your army to counter them. Try this:

the spider is there because it is fast, cheap, and has agility. And he insisted (and I totally agree) that there be at least one mech. The game is mechwarrior after all. the 13 point trike gets the total to exactly 300 points and is the only other infant for that much that can infiltrate. we decided the best way to kill arty like that is to get your army to the other side of the board fast.
