I know I should drop the Blackhawk but ####! I love that sculpt.
This army will basically get owned by arty and donars, but double tank drop is fun to field against people who will play fatties in 450. Muahahaha, 9 clicks of damage to your OEJ and then another 4 from my Blackhawk, muahah. Then I will capture you with my 3 Shock troopers, haha.
btw, no I dont have any donars to sub in.

Yeah, I wanted to keep it handy to finish stuff off with the charge. I dug up a DF Thumper, which is useless, but is it something I should stick in? Or how about an SM1?
if you were going to use the SM1 w/o any other infiltrating units; I'd probably think about putting it in a transport and tank-dropping it, but it is simply inferior to either of the other tanks unless you were planning on making some space for something else.
Do you have any VTOLs at all? They'd be useful for working to counter other VTOLs or taking shots at any arty.
Do you have any trikes? Same cost as shock troops, but if your opponent's not got his backfield screened off by infantry they'll have issues keeping the artillery active.
Do you have any artillery that will hit the other drop zone? This will at least tie up enemy artillery in that they'll be busy shelling YOUR artillery.
Do you have any mech other than the blackhawk you do like? (it's a nifty unit to be sure; agility makes it playable and 10IT is statistically the same as having a natural 12 for ranged/close combat. However, it has to melee infantry to hurt them at all. I'd look for a quick mech with ballistic weaponry to fill this niche in)
In its current state, your army has a few things to worry about, namely: enemy infantry (the tanks get off one or two shots then get based. I eradicated a DF tank army with 2 Schmitt and 3 Marksman in this manner; base the Schmitt from the side and the marksman with a grappler and they're not shooting) enemy VTOLs (you can tank-drop THEM, but that's not necessarily going to work that well as it will leave them vulnerable to basing units) enemy artillery (you have no real counters to them)
I could put in a Miguel V instead and have a couple more points for more infantry, and I really wanted to keep it faction pure so I dont have any vtols, or a merc sniper. By taking out the Blackhawk (sigh) I could throw in a Kanazuchi?
You're the kind of people who make me glad I play double Dashers.
Keep the Blackhawk, It's a bit more durable than Hitoshi, and the extra 2 Def points are worth it.
Shock troopers I've always found to be a bit fragile, do you have any other infantry you can replace them with?
As for the Tankdrops, be very careful of helocopters, and remember as soon as they're dropped, someone or somthing's gonna charge them, so be sure that thing is in salvage or dead with your first shot.
