Do these units actually have the Repair SE?

I've always thought that a cheap, shallow dial infantry based "field medic" & "vehicle repair" repair untis would be nice.

Not even one of them has Repair.

Instead, they're all slow and have pathetic range.

Some tradeoff!

2 damage AP or 2 target 2 damage AnP on 11 point unit?!?! Why are you guys complaining? :)

Because ranged attacks need range to pull off.

Whence dropped they don't. Cheap inside a merc giggins, and immune to mortar teams since the giggins has grey armor.

I like to think of engineers in a more defensive situation. "Yeah, charge...go ahead. Wait, now you've got little bugs swarming all over you planting C4 in your joints!" ;-

That reminds me, was there any legitimate reason why everyone was expecting a unit titled "Combat Engineer" to be field techs? I'd expect them to be digging holes, not patching armor. :p

And how would the Engineers carry repair supplies/equipment?

They are low cost units with short range and useful SE

i've got a question ref the gray death ba. the spirit cats version has flamers and a range of 8. does this mean i can fire my flamers at 8 inches away? sorry i ask in this forum, but i didn't feel like opening another thread.

It would have been great if they gave us high attacks, 3 damage and a 2" range. Thats the way I see a combat engineer.

then why did they make this unit with 8 range and flamers? kind of pointless to me!
