That the first one will go for $180+ on eBay, and that it will remain in the 3 digit amount untill of course, WizKids releases the in their own words "Convention Exclusive" (just like viki huh?) as a tournament prize and prices will drop to $15 when everybody gets one.

In general correct, but Viki was a prize while the Gyrfalcon will be a give-away. That means any schlub who ponies up enough dough at the WK booth at the conventions will get one.

So I think you will see a couple go for $$$ after GAMA, but after the convention season starts you will see the prices fall quickly.

And because WK does these give-aways based on the ammount you spend at their booth, you will probably see a number of these going to Hero Clix players who are buying Galactus - and will end up listing the Gyrfalcon on eBay because they don't want it.

So if you know someone who's going to a convention and planning to buy Galactus, ask them if you can have the Gyrfalcon they're probably going to get.

Is it just me or does the Gyrfalcon resemble a Gundam? The wings, the big guns,etc. Of course if it's got the stats to back it up, then all the better.

Give away or not. This will end up going for some decent dollars. think back to the antman/yellowjacket "giveaways" from 2 years ago. or go back even farther to the Anunub given away at the first Gencon. Alot of these were throw away because people didn't realize how good the figure was going to be. I believe the firt Gary Metcalf to hit ebay went for some ungodly sum. I'd think if you really want one either star saving now or try to put aside some really good trade bait. I know if i get an extra I'll be asking for alot.

I was planning on spending about that much anyway.
Dark Riders prerelease and a few CA boosters and I'm set.
I'll be getting mine from WW-LA the first place after GAMA.
So, I'd be willing to bet that I can get at least $100 for it on ebay.
So I'll probably break even but I'll have some good stuff to show for it. If I can get a few it would go to pay for my trip to play in Nationals. So I still come out ahead.

Despite the rarity of the Gyrfalcon, I don't think it would exceed $100 on most auctions because everyone will be selling theirs as soon as they get it, but ebay always ends up being wrong for me... stupid ebay.:angry: :cry:

When was Viki Drexel called "convention exclusive"?
I know she was first released at cons, but last years con exclusive was the mash vehicle- which still hasnt been given out as a prize.
And I'm hoping its less than $100 min purchase (one of the things that jacks up the ebay price) Wasnt it like $30 for atom and $60 for both for last years heroclix? (I could be wrong on the dollar amounts but i know just one was less than @100)
