I was daydreaming just now, and I began to wonder: if factional Mechs were made by current car companies, who would make which?

The only one that leaps to mind is: Spirit Cats = Honda. Dependable, longlasting, but fairly bland.

Anyone else?

The question was which FACTIONAL mechs would be made by which companies.

For example, Swordsworn overheat quickly, which I would attribute to Chevrolet.

Stormhammers - Bavarian Motorworks and Volkswagen

Highlanders - I'm leaning towards HUMMER.
Dragons Fury - Toyota or Nissan

DF = Ferrari !!

Steel Wolves- standard Mercedes??? Jacked up by AMG and it gets better.

Steel Wolves are made by Ford, you gotta break 'em in then they're very comfortable. Once the warranty expires (pass the sweet spot) they cost more than they're worth to fix, and they break often.

I was thinking that the Republic was Ford. They have all of the pretty yet not exotic stuff (IE Wolfhound=Thunderbird) Het once they start takiong hits they fall HARD (ie Pinto)

The Republic would be one of the luxury lines due to its high cost. I'd actually say the Republic fits under Acura. Just as reliable as Honda, but a little flashier, for a lot more money.

Then again, I tend to equate negative qualities with American cars. So comparing Ford (which I loathe) to the Republic (one of my favorites), leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. :ermm:

The StormHammers would have to be the muscle cars, the overlarge hyper-polluting boats people insist on cluttering the streets with.
