Hey i got some new toys the other day and i thought i would make an army for them. As of now his is faction pure so if u have any ideas to make it better that would be great.
My strategy would just be to have arnis and faisel work in tandem to take out minor to medium threats and zabiha would take down the big guys by outranging them and with cover. The APC would work to either tie up artillery or take down infantry(shock trooper). The SM1 just works as a loner going where needed.
I have no merc snipers or they would probably be in there and most SC artiller just suks. I dont have many vehicles for SC also since im just getting into them.
You'd be best off dropping the SM1 in exchange for an Antat a Salamander Battle Armor (But it'll leave you 2 points under...)
The SM1 offers little outside a target for someone to charge, and with the addition of a Salie, you not only have a potential capture/bypass move, but you also gain the ability to re-take your mechs if they're captured...
Other than that, I kinda like it...dual chargers can be fun ^_^ especially when backed by a rangy-shooty mech...Oh, one problem, You might just get ripped appart by big fatties (you'll need to roll 13's on all your attacks (by your mechs), on the other hand, you'll have enough units to keep SOMEONE in rear arc most of the game...
I'd ditch Faisel for something else. You already have Arnis in your army, why pair him up with a lesser version of himself? If you want a "tag-team" partner for Arnie, the Mijolnir or a Koshi might be a cheaper altenative.
I'd prefer using a more "general purpose" mech however. You got a good "sniper" in Zabiha (although the Sun Cobra is much more cost efficient), you got a good "brawler" with Arnis (the best!). Think about using Kym, Malisa, Lennell or Liz, as your "intermediate" mech.
Also think about using a Crane instead of a ground transport. They are faster and you won't have to worry about people basing it.
The Crane is hard to hit, tough, and will get your troops to the enemy DZ fast. The Salamander should be pretty scary with it's bypass and flamers, the Cavalier will keep it's defense an 18 and add support. The 3 mechs will be good for long range, short range and medium. People will probably ignore Kym until she hits them with pulse for 6! Her ballistic attack might be helpful too. The Donar is one of the nastiest VTOLs in the game. The J100 is there to patch anything up.
