My thoughts would be to get some blocking terrain and one piece of hindering terrain. The Long Tom would be nothing more than an harrassing unit. Perhaps use it as a magnet for other artillery fire and/or infiltrating units. My idea would be to move the mechs in supporting positions of each other. Both have a 14" range, and the high defense of both makes for difficult targets. Naomi's streaks and ECM would provide valuable back up to the iron fist of Caden.

The long tom is 57 points wasted without base screening . . .1 12 point piece will take it out turn 1.

Caden is nice, but has touchy heat and needs infantry support in case he shuts down.

Naomi simply isn't worth her points. If you want a 2 mech Highlander army try:

Total 447 .. . . .you can tweak to get a few more point in there . ..

Yeah, paying an extra 9 pts for a mech that does less damage, doesn't live as long, but gets streak, isn't really worth it.

Tara Bishop is a good choice, so is Joel Brane, and if you want the armor Joel Nguyen is pretty sweet, he's never taken more than a few clicks of damage when i've used him.

If you used Nguyen you'd have enough pts for a peasent screen for your Artillery, plus then you'd have two mechs from the 1st kearney in the front lines with the fusilers backing them up.

It would be sweet, dude!

Is Vera Solomon a worthwhile mech? I have had her for about 4 months, just never played her. How about this for an army:

To answer your question: no, Vera's not worth the points . .Ugh, she's bad. I only keep her to have a complete set . . . . .

The Long Toms bunker up at opposite ends of the DZ to stay out of Arrow range and immediately begin the Rain O' Death. Shun with the 2 Purifiers runs up field to chopper drop onto opposing arty. The Cavalier joins the peasants guarding the arty. It's there to jump out and base anything that gets too close. Joel protects the DZ and harasses as necessary.

Vera blows chunks. Joel Nguyen, FOR FEWER POINTS, is better in every way. Sure, he can't defend against Agility, so get Caden Senn for 2 more points.

Kanazuchis-use Merc ones. Gnomes? Just don't use. The Maxim is a good transport, though.
