One thing in the rules that struck me as unusual was the fact that they specifically stated different colour dice regarding dice. I usually use 2 .5"x.5"x.5" dice and one .25"x.25"x.25" die which happens to be the same colour as the half-inch dice. The size difference is quite sufficient I felt that I don't need a different colour die. However, under the new tournament rules, I'm wondering, do I need to change it to a different colour?

It all depends on how anal your BM is, I think. If the dice are a) not loaded, b) clearly readable by your opponent, and c) obvious without needing to be told by you which is the odd die, then I'd call it legal.

Guys the rules are clear. If you don't want to follow them I'm sure someone will object. If it is an opponent, the BM is obligated to see that the rules are followed. As you pointed out dice are dice. You can always use the ones that came with the game.
