Or anyone who mis-spells 'Mech names by changing it slightly so it still SOUNDS right, but doesn't LOOK right?
*Looks at own name*
Whoops.
Anywho, mine are people who incessently speak 'Clan'. On the forums, IC, when appropriate, is nice. In real life, when someone says 'Stravag!' or starts muttering about Kerensky, I wanna shove an HL Uller up their noze. Dog knows I've got loads of extras, and I've only got 2.
I hate HATE HATE HATE LOTS OF HATE LOOSE JOINTS@!!!!!!
LIKE UGH!!!! THEY DRIVE ME CRAZY! TORSO, ARMS, EVERYTHING! LOOSE JOINTS REALLY REALLY S-U-C-K!
thats about it though.
Measurement maniacs, where YOUR stuff is always 'outside' and THEIR stuff is always 'just in'. (And they do this right after you yourself just measured it...)
My #1 pet peeve? Hmmm lack of variety. I know some pieces are just too good to past in building an army but you kinda get sick of seeing nothing but a certain powerhouse piece everytime you play someone,*cough*Laio Targe*cough*. I would rather see stuff not used much played like Catapults,Koshi's,orCenturions, rather than Targes,Maruader II's,andRaider MKII's.
Otherwise it would be what Warflail stated; the "I'm gonna stall till you can't win then I claim your no match for me"guy.
Don't agree with it? Wanna argue about it?? Gotta get your rule book out mid game to back your point up, even when it is a tenuous link at best, just so you can moan about it???
Roll a D6 for it and just get a move on - it's a game, DEAL WITH IT!!!
(Okay, breathing easier now, calming nicely, climbing off of soapbox... :) )

You mean like the person who became a member of MWRealms today? You know, the person with the name Zues hammer. Oh well, looks like Maraduer isn't the only one anymore.

Those people bug me no matter what game it is.
I personally hate the people who dont give their units the right amount of clicks.
Our tournaments typically happen on Sundays at about noon. Mr.Suitcase comes to our venue with the same 'unbeatable' army of 'uber-pieces' he always plays. He routinely wins his first couple matches (in what's supposed to be a series of three) against newbies, kids or players who can't afford to field the uber-piece counter to his army. Then, he invariably claims that he has to leave and so can't stay for the third match, but he still gets the prize because the BM buys his "mathmatically, nobody else can beat my score, even if I lose the next match" argument. No trading, no friendly banter, no suggestions or comments about game play to his opponents -- strictly business. As soon as he's got the prize in hand, he's out of the building. He then dashes off to another tournament at another nearby venue that starts at 5pm (hence the need to vacate our venue as early as possible, to get to the next match on time); apparently he does the same thing there. The prizes show up on e-bay Monday morning (unless they're 'uber-pieces' that get incorporated into his 'unbeatable' army to perpetuate the cycle).
So, why is this my pet peave? Because he's not playing for fun; he's even commented that he doesn't particularly enjoy MW. He's doing it as a way to earn some extra cash. Oddly, I don't have too big a problem with that attitude, providing the individual in question were "giving back" to the game by helping encourage the newbies, being willing to trade, offerring advice or something... anything positive. But if this guy utters more than a dozen words during the game, I'd be surprised. All he's really accomplishing is to alienate the newbies and kids and turn the game into some cold, passionless business transaction.
The game can definitely do without people like that.

Isn't that technically withdrawing from the tournament? I thought that eliminated his ability to get a prize. Isn't that in the general tournament rules?

5.6 Withdrawing and Conceding
A player who withdraws from or concedes a battle is dropped from the tournament. A player who refuses
to play in a battle is presumed to withdraw and is dropped from the tournament. If a player withdraws
before the current round is ended, the round is scored as a loss for the withdrawing player and a win for
his or her opponent, who receives victory points and/or conditions in accordance with the game-specific
tournament rules.
