Cost: 230 points

Pros:
1. His primary of 3 is decent, at 0-12, nothing to sneeze at.
2. His secondary of 5 is excellent, going out to 0-14, with Alpha Strike as an option.
3. Movement of 9 is fine, Jumpjets giving him mobility and easier breakaways.
4. Attack of 11 is excellent, and it's fairly steady down his dial.
5. Vent 4, post Alpha Strike, starts up in one turn.
6. Excellent heat dial.

Cons:
1. 230 points for 11 clicks of total life, 8 clicks of usability stinks.
2. 135 Degree Arc, quite a poor arc.
3. Not inherently repairable, repairable from salvage, but #### stats.
4. 18 Defence for a 230 point mech is a joke.

Commentary:
In a way, i think Trovic(at present) is similar to a one trick pony, kind of like the mech version of a tankdrop. His 18 defence is a joke, most infantry can hit that easily and with such a low defence, you can whittle him down quickly and capture him for 460points, yay.

Without a doubt, his potential 9 damage alpha strike could put the hurting on almost anything. And i suggest that this is the way he should be used, kind of like Shin Yoshida, minus the mobility. However, his 5 damage 14" energy attack should not be dismissed, and if somebody does, all the better for you.

Overall, Trovic(at present) is a point sink unfortunately. I've entertained the idea of him being used with meat shields but arty would spell his doom extremely quickly. If used in larger games, he becomes much more effective when teamed up with somebody else(Read: Anything with Point Defence SE) but in Trovic's current state, he's quite useless in 450 IMO.

I do agree! However you must remember we still don't know what Flacons' faction abilities will be. Maybe Trovic playability will improve, maybe not...

You hit it right on the head, mortuari. He really is too thin skinned for 450 use as a primary mech. 230 pts for an 18 defense? Not good.

Team him up with a Liao Shockwave for 22 Defense.

@ Suskis - Hope springs eternal. But just as Liao's faction abilities don't always adequately justify their points cost, i'm expecting more of the same. *keeps fingers crossed*

@ stahlie - Weeeeeeeell. On the upside, he is a nice sculpt. :classic:

@ Ignition - That's the point i'm trying to make, as a solo piece, he's sorely lacking. Teamed up with the right support however, and he IS a beast. I still feel a little finnicky about his short life though. 230 points for 8 usable clicks. Yuck. Only other mech i can think of who is on a comparable level is....*drumroll* Ezekiel Crow, 290 points for 9 usable clicks - arguably the worst point sink in the game.

I think the reason why wizkids give him 18 defense because they do not want see Trovic go for over $100 dollars on ebay until falcon prey comes out in Aug. I hold reservation on Trovic until I see Jade Falcon faction abilities in Aug.
Trovic might the be next form of cheese in the game. Mechdrops.
I bet you that Jade Falcon have the faction of abilites move and shoot too.
