They must nominate every product that comes out in a year. Creepy Freaks for Game of the Year? Come on! Although, I'm having a lousy day and that gave me a huge laugh. Guess it was good for one thing.

I think there were plenty of other games far superior to WK's products this last year. CF and Indy clix were not well received and the expansions mentioned were kinda ho-hum. MK2.0 may be cool to some people, but here no one moves it and it rots on shelves. LI was not the best MW set out there. The Dungeon Tiles were cool though!

Sorry, just can't be too optimistic here. Better luck next year. Maybe the Pirates game will rock.

Even I had to raise an eyebrow at the thought of Creepy Freaks being nominated. Around here it did not go over well at all. All the younger players are into Yugioh, and any others are already playing MWDA or MK.

Do they still make Creepy Freaks? I thought production stopped. Wouldn't that disqualify you?

These games aren't nominated based on sales. Creepy Freaks must have a solid rules system.

I don't think so... Ophidian 2350 is also listed and Fleer dropped that like a hot potatoe loaded with TNT early in the year. I find Scrye's abscence from the ballot surprising... I mean Knights of the Dinner Table as Periodical of the Year??? What's up with that???

Personally I think the dungeon tiles are one of the cooler things I've ever seen. I've played with my friends several times and it was a blast, even if everyone always dies.

How come Liao Incursion was nominated specifically, as opposed to just MechWarrior as a whole? If they were going by best expansion, I'd probably nominated Fire For Effect, but since they stopped production for FFE a while ago :( I guess it doesn't qualify.

Well, my vote has been cast...

I know the old adage says that happy customers dont communicate... but ####, is it just my imagination or does Wizkids have a serious PR problem? What does it say when one goes to a companys official forums and 90% of the people posting are openly mocking the company, if not outright hostile? What does it say when a companys game gets nominated for awards and virtually everyone on the most popular forum for that game is openly dubious?

I guess it says they have a PR problem. *shrug*

I just got done placing my vote for all the non-WK games.

I encourage you all to follow suit.

If WK is rewarded for their shoddy game mechanics, inability to keep or make a game balanced and terribly misdirected customer support then they'll never be moved to change.

It's too bad too because there's so much promise there.

Yeah Creepy freeks what a burst? Airhead idea beside the fact parent groups were against it.

I voted for what deserved my vote. But only what deserved it.


None were Wizkids games.
