Despite a good trade I had with him in the past, it looks like noodleboy ripped me. 4/7/04 the deal was for $30 for his Nikol Brahe. The price was agreed upon and the money sent.
As of date I have yet to receive a refund or the fig. The fig was to have been a gift. I fulfilled my promise and my friend got my Nikol Brahe out of my collection. In all the PMs bounced between me and noodleboy I've got:
"Sorry lost address"
"Sorry, busy with finals"
"Sorry, forgot to mail Nikol. Fig's still here on top of my monitor"
excuses.
My last email to him requested a refund of my $30 or charges would be filed. No response. Nothing.
So here's the thing. If you have current trades with him follow up on them. If you've had good trades with him in the past and wish to defend him, fine. The fact remains: two months, I sent money, I got nothing.
If I am ever refunded I'll post it here. If not, my statement stands. Thief or addle-minded college student I don't know nor do I care to know. Where's the money I sent? That's all I care about.
Well, I still have nothing to show for the money I sent him. It's been three months since this all started. Anybody know the link to file mail fraud charges online?
As for my final assessment of this whole trade: trade with noodleboy only if he sends first. Whether it be figures traded or money to be sent. DO NOT SEND YOUR ITEMS/PAYMENT FIRST. You will end up in my position. If you do so despite this warning caveat emptor.
As to noodleboy, your good rep took a hit. Was it worth $30?
Baw, thanks for trying to help mediate this situation.
Well, It's November. Baw has been gracious enough to try and help get this situation resolved. In his last PM to me he said noodleboy told him that a refund would be sent. That PM was two months ago as well.
So here we are, a deal that should have gone well back in April has dragged on until November. No refund, no PMs, and even with the help of a mediator (of sorts) still nothing from noodleboy.
To baw: Thanks for all your help in this matter. You did what you could to help solve this problem but I guess $30 is too much money for noodleboy to raise.
To noodleboy: I gave you more than enough time to simply make good on your end. I trusted that this would have been a smooth deal given that I traded with you successfully in the past. But instead of being on the up and up you decided to disappear on me. Fine, charges will be filed. More hassles and problems for you....all because of $30.
