I think everyone will agree the set after FP will be a new base set.

What do you think "should" be in it?

How many units should be in it? Should it just be reprints, or should they make something new? How many factions will be in it, and wich ones?

I guess I would like to see every faction get
low cost fill infantry
infiltrating first turn basers
a tank with good stats
a transport for your new tank
a decent vtol
a better AA gun
a two target, two damage no ap arty
a good light agility mech
a good medium with faction traits
a non- unique heavy that I can build an army around
a unique assault mech I could only field in a huge game, but does all the things an assault mech must do

and a partrige in a pair tree

I think that there needs to be decent replacements for the nons that are lost and maybe a reissue of some of the more "standard" units, e.g. Clan BA, I'll miss my kitty clans, gnomes, basicaly the staple units need to be replaced with units capable, or nearly so, of the ones that leave.

When it comes to uniques, as long as evryone gets at least one solid unique mech, non LE's, in the set, I think we'll be sitting well off.

I would also look for a couple of factions to join others, BR and LI, RotS and HL, can't think of any others, to help cut down on the number of pieces that need to be put into the set. I know that would make a lot of people unhappy, but it would seem to make some modicum of sense, and yes, I know, that is tantamount to blasphemy.

I think I just said a few things twice, oh well, guess that gets my point across better.

Here's hoping that they can make everyone have little to complain about beyond the fact that they are retiring pieces, not likely, but I'll dream about it anyway.

will a new set be called dark age? I doubt it. what will the new name be, and will people still refer to it as dark age?
