Tactics and Secrets The Warhammer IIC is the ’Mech for the player who doesn’t require a lot of bells and whistles. In Spirit Cats style, this ’Mech starts with 4 energy damage and Pulse, with a range of 12 for some fairly long-distance combat. If you’re looking to split up your destruction, forgo using Pulse and choose two targets instead. Except for Pulse on the initial three clicks, the only other color you’ll see on this dial is grey for Heavy Armor, which extends throughout the length of the dial until the ’Mech hits Salvage. Be forewarned that this Warhammer’s weaponry and armor severely cut down its speed, which begins at a mere 6 and progresses to 4. They also don’t do much for its heat – even for a Spirit Cat unit, the heat effects start on click three and don’t let up. Even with these drawbacks, this 246-point gorilla may very well become a cornerstone for any respectable Spirit Cats player’s battleforce.
Design Notes Spirit Cat units in general evoke a simpler way to play, as their flat dial profiles tend to make them much more reliant on their basic stats than on any special equipment they may have. The Falcon’s Prey Warhammer IIC is no exception, relying on a steady 9 attack for the better part of five clicks. The only complaint some Spirit Cat players may have is the ’Mech’s somewhat out-of-place heat dial, but the weapon load out on this bad boy is just too much for even a poor Spirit Cat to bear.
Hmm, not too bad I suppose. 4 damage with Pulse isn't too shabby, and the heavy armor until salvage is nice.
I do wish that we didn't have another Unique Sneak Peek, though. It would be nice to see some of the normal units, especially since then more than one faction would be catered for.
Ah well, there is always next week... :)

The ONLY complaint is the out-of-place heat dial?!? Low primary range, low speed, and a sub-par attack sound like complaints to me.
Unless the secondary is a nasty high-damage, long range attack, and the defense is 23 for a good long time, you're going to see a lot of complaint about this one.
With the defenses dropping as far as they are, a 9 attack isn't too painful, but add that to a poor heat dial...
And why would a SC player want to use this 12-range POS instead of the 214 point Zabiha Nostra or the 255 point Declan Devalis??
Lets see...for *nine* points more you get with Declan:
1. Same damage (4), with same SE (pulse) at a range of 16, rather than 12!
2. Same number of primary targets (2).
3. Higher starting attack (10 vs 9) for 4 clicks!
4. Same speed (6) and downward progression
5. Likely a higher defense (23) based on what we have seen of FP so far.
6. Less Defense SE (Heavy Armor), although it wont do the Warhammer much good if its defense is a 20 or so.
7. A decent heat dial with a shutdown click right at the end of the dial.
So...based on this, why would someone pick this Warhammer IIC over the Marauder?
*long whistle. . .* Very nice anyway. Don't mind that good ol' SC 4 pulse. (reffering also to Declan) Looks good to me. Definitly won't be using it in my force though, not for 246 points. I can get Sadia wolf for that. . . or better.
1. 9 attack. It says it stays for a while, not too bad I guess
2. 4 Damage Pulse. Very Nice
3. 12" Range. No complaints here. 12 is about middle, not short, not long
4. Heavy Armor till salvage. Me likes.
5. Bad Heat Dial. I just want to see what wizkid's considers "bad"
6. Speed of 6. What the hell. This thing is SLOW. My God.
7. 246 Points. Im personally thinking that when all things above are taken into account, the Spirit Cats can find a better bang for their buck. But thats just me.
-9 attack
-lots o' heavy armor
-short range pulse (yes, 12 is short range)
-slow 6 speed
-bad heat dial for SC
-overcosted
"cornerstone for any respectible player's Spirit Cats player's battleforce." Yeah right. I NEVER used K. Nostra, and I traded a Kenny Medchelke, Rusty Cooper, AND Jodi Mazzanoble for him back when he first came out.
My custom SC Warhammer IIC4 is so much better than this...
The Spirit Cats are supposedly the game's prime energy weapon users. The also tend to have steady, long dials with excellent heat. Up until now this was mostly true. Monsters like Declan Devalis, Marat Deleportas, Angus Drummond, Arnis Drummond, Zabiha Nostra and much more are good to awesome in dealing energy-based damage.
The Highlanders on the other hand were the game's defensive specialists. A tough mixture of defence, armour and endurance at the expense of mobility and offensive prowess. What they lacked in efficiency they more than made up in dealing frustration and denial of VC1 and VC2. Nobody claimed beating down Eriabee Childs, Caden Senn, Joel Nguyen and more was an easy task.
Sounds like we have a mix-up in the maternity ward here because Monic Deleportas is clearly more like a Highlander and Dock Steward is definitely more like a Spirit Cat.
