ive got a 450 unrestricted tourney tomorrow and im seriously considering useing Clyde.

I havent put any real though into building around him and have not once used a fatty in 450.

Im trying to stay away from the whole "take fat mech A, 2 donars, and fill with ATV's" deal so if you could post feedback that excludes the use of Donars and large 3+ amounts of DF or LI ATV's that would be great.

simply load the 1 gray death and 2 infiltrators in the zahn
let the lone gray deah walk, the other zahn caries the arty and clyde just runs around

this is what id prolly run if i was trying to build a clyde army that wanted to use artillary

Nah I dont know yet, I am still looking at all angles of FP.

Lack of games at my end of the world means i am a bit slow in in testing stuff.

But Slyphs in larger numbers have some potenial i think.

if you're looking for vtol support they play a good support role, in one or two. In large quantities, it feels like you're playing mercs, because of their inability to move in formation and your lack of commands if you're going for swarm you need the high attack of the df donar, do you have any for trade? I'll trade you some df slyphsssss.. uhm lots of df slphs

If you're just going to cart around the arty anyway, Why don't you trade out the sniper for a Rots Di Towed artillery? spend the extra points in other ways.

I love clyde. I tend to use crow VTOL's to counter enemy artillery, they were the pre Sylph fast cheap unit.
