YAY spirit cats novel

FINALLY BLAINE LEE PARDOE!!! ROAR OF HONOR AND OPERATION AUDACITY WERE AWESOME!!!

Finally we hear something from the Spirit Cats...

Sometimes I think I'm the only one who thinks that Blaine Lee Pardoe isn't all that good an author.

Then again, I seem to hold a greatly minority opinion when it comes to a lot of the Battletech/Mechwarrior books...

DotD is by Ilsa Bick, writer of several Battlecorps stories!

According to Loren, it's about the aftermath of the Exarch election in The Scorpion Jar.

Ilsa Bick has said on the BattleCorps forums that it is about Tormark "and other interesting characters I hope you'll enjoy".

i concur on both accounts. even though i haven't read roar of honor, op: audacity was a very cool novel.

It was a novel for the short-lived "Mechwarrior" series.

Very good book about a Nova Cat Trinary fighting guerilla war against a cluster from (I think) the Steel Vipers.

Well, my question is, what is "Clan Spirit Cat"? Did Clan Nova Cat change their name? Or did they mean the Spirit Cats?

Then again, I don't recognize the Oriente Protectorate either. That might be my own swiss cheese memory, though.

I think that the Oriente Protectorate is a periphery realm near the Kurita/Davion border. I may be wrong.

The Oriente Protectorate is one of the states formed from the corpse of the Free Worlds League.

Hmm, with the new Marik-Stewart Commonwealth, wonder how that all ties in?

The Free Worlds League broke up into multiple smaller states. The Oriente Protectorate is one of them, and the Marik-Stewart Commonwealth is another one.
There's also the Duchy of Tamarind, though that one hasn't shown up in the novels at all, yet.

Right you are... and even though the Wolves lost miserably it was a good book... kinda hard for someone to make a story where your favorite faction loses and you still like it ;) that shows that Blaine has skills...
