Wow,

It seems we've totally hit a lull in the realms. The early announcement of AoD has totally taken the Falcon's Prey discussion out of the game. Let alone the fact that the prizes are easily obtainable there isn't the cutthroat nature and need for ultra metagaming. Plus.. most of the people who are serious about the continuation of this game are in the "oh my god, it's time to nurture new players mode and not beat the living blah blah out of them." And since all I hear on the radio is Christmas music, I guess it's time for thinking about the new year. (and gosh darnnit I may not play cbt but uhm.. JUST PAINT the darn thing will ya?)

10. How many sets will we see after AoD in this new year? How predominate will plastic cards play in them? What new faction gains, what new faction losses?

9. When will corle, warflail, and noeticist end their hibernation and reenter the realms and reassume their roles as whatever their roles are in the realm?

8. What will Will63 do at nationals when the first 4 people he plays are playing armies that he designed on the realms?

7. What will take the place of the DF donar and the DF atv in my martha stewart plastic carrying case??

6. Will Xyberbratt and Trevor continue the east/west coast rivalry that was sort of present at last year's nationals and actually sit down a play a game face to face??

Well the cards will be used no doubt. And if they give +2 targeting etc. Then Yes you must use them.

Df donar = JF Slyph but for the next 6 months it will be DF Donar and a Slyph it is 80 points and good for 7 to 9 damage with above average chance to hit.

ATV's might die a bit if pinning isnt "safe" anymore.

- Hibernation? I thought they died? Seriously, Warflail has popped on ocassionally to support AoD, but the others have been no-showers

LOL!!! Thats how I feel about the East Coast. Especially after some of my experiences playing MWDA in the Boston area. Generally nice people but I don't like being forced to buy a booster to play a game, especially of an out of date expansion.

Just like 2004, will63 will awaken Corle from his hibernation 3 months prior to Nationals and will train him in the current meta-game while will63 learns Corle's tricks. Will63 will also awaken noeticist and warflail and bring them up to current. After months of study, Corle will redo his force at the last minute while will63 sleeps and make the top8 with ease.

However keep in mind that such are kept into consideration when building my own force. At our local venue, I face my own army clones of some sort, and still manage to out-build them.
If facing 4 of my own armies (of 5), I should go at least 4-1.
