So we know one of the new Mechs from the set after AoD is the Raptor. However, what about the other one. Will it generate as much discussion as the Raptor has. I've been digging around and found some reference to new Mechs in MA2. From what I've found the Nova Cat and the Blood Asp are both in the new game as well as a new battle armor.

Is it one of these two or are other Mechs in contention for inclusion?
Not knowing every Mech in the game, how do these two mechs stack up?

Those are the only other new mechs. The way Kevin worded it, I'd say that it has to be a mech that is new in MA 2.

So it will be the Novacat, coming along with its namesake clan. Where I heard that? In the grapevine...

I don't think the in set Raptor or the 2nd mech will cause as much discussion like there is now, mainly because I don't think either will be clear plastic. I would guess given its size the Raptor will be a non.

As for the 2 names you mentioned both the Nova Cat and the Blood Asp have been asked for mechs on more then one occasion.

If there is going to be a Blood Asp coming out, I would think that it would give the BH a run for his money. I just love the Blood Asp from classic. :)

I think it will be the Blood Asp... it's been the most asked for mech out of the only 3 possibles and 1 of the possibles is already known...

if they dont make a Blood Asp soon people (including me) will be pissed...

I would love to see a Nova Cat come out, just because i have recently taken an interest in Clan nova Cat and it's splinter faction, the Spirit Cats as well. i wouldn't complain if it was a Blood Asp though either as I have heard they were great mechs in CBT.

Who knows it could be a special preview AoD mech tomorrow. :)

The Owens was from the first game, but I'd really like to see that one. Or a resculpted Atlas.

Maybe Microsoft and Wizkids finally gave into popular demand and gave us an UrbanMech!!!! Its so cute when it waddles it softens my heart:grin: . And yes I know its next to worthless but its adorable and becuase its nearly useless I like it:grin:

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but the quote doesn't say a "new" mech from the game, so it could be anything that is in it. I've never played mechassault so I don't know what is in there to begin with.

From some of this discussion, I think it might be interesting to see an owens, can we say the first mech with homing beacon?

I hope it's the Nova Cat. I especially love my Dual PPC/Dual UAC5 variant. If it is the mech, I hope they have more than just the standard config.

Both the Nova Cat and the Blood Asp will be in MA2. I just downloaded the free website developer's kit from the XBOX.com webpage for MA2. Its got pics for both those mechs in the zip file.

As for which would be a better mech? The Blood Asp would be a killer mech, The Blood Asp would be a slow, short range killer. The Nova Cat Prime mounted 2 ERPPCs and 3 ER Large Lasers, so that would definately fit the current design of long range power.

Blood Asp or Nova Cat(or even both!) would be nice and not greating any negative emotions in players. Ragnarok would be even larger abomination than current Raptor.
