Well For 1 I think there may be a few tanks that can come out and play now.
1. Highlander Mars / No min. range and 3 targets. Just protect its rear and it should do fine.
2. Merc Mars / Min. range but w/a ton of Se's this should be fun to play also.
3. Most Kelswa's since there high defense helps them vs Assault Orders.

1. Merc Cavalry / cheap, good speed and now that IT works on Any ranged combat attack the M&S attack w/ IT may just be wort hthe 40 point price tag.
In fact I think we may see more Cav Vtols nowe that there is a Assault Mech AA Weapon Card. They are a cheaper point cost to use in a AA rich battle.
Any mechs with 0-14 range and 2 targets, so that they can ignore the called shot modifier by targeting the unit basing them as well.
Makes the SS Sun Cobra even better (19" AO range too)
I think we should keep this discussion on Tourney legal units as I do not think many of the unplayable mechs will not get better with the new rules, all mechs w/ an 8 attack I'm looking at you :devious:

JF Stingers / Evade and a 11 attack with pulse hmm yahh good 100 points of AO action.
Kite Recce Tank / a more durable Base-n-Break Tm. and lets not forget their speed
Merc Gnomes a better CBA Battle Armor
Merc Purifier BA not a bad Infantry unit now
