OK folks, I think it is time that we did this. We bandy about terms, and new players (should there ever be any) can get confused. SO I would like to recommend the following:
A Dictionary of Terms used on MWRealms.
I will combine and post them. But I would like to list the term, its definition, and who coined it (if possible).
Agreed. I have a bunch of stuff already done in the MWRealms New Players guide.
I plan on updating it once AoD comes out. If you want you can take anything from that, to save yourself some time.
If not, then I'd love suggestions (I've been trying to get people to give me ideas for months) on what needs to be in it.
Either way, the feedback I've gotten back from new people over the past months since I initially did it, was that the glossery section was one of their favorite parts of the guide.
So I think it's a good idea. I'll help anyway I can.
B-N-B: Base and Brake. The tactic of placing low cost units in base contact with high cost opposing units to hold them in place, then moving the low cost units away to expose the opponent to a damaging attack. ORIGIN: ?

CHARGEMONKEY: a player who utilizes the charge mechanic as his/her primary means of delivering damage, and builds armies to maximize this potential. ORIGIN: ?
CHARGEMONKEYTUDE; The feeling that the charge mechanic is in-line with other mechanics, and does not imbalance the game. Some believe this to be a false feeling. ORIGIN: ?
META-GAME: The underlying rules and statistical background of a game which forms the logic of the gaming system. Often used when discussing generic strategy rather than specific builds. ORIGIN: ?
POG-WARRIOR: a player who utilizes artillery units as his/her primary means of delivering damage, and builds armies to maximize this potential. ORIGIN: ?
RAINBOWWARRIOR: A derogatory term used to identify people who deliberately field units from many different factions in an effort to maximize their army’s effectiveness. ORIGIN: ?
SCRUB: A player who chooses to play with restrictions that are in line with the ‘fluff’ or spirit of the game, even if that means a diminished capacity for winning. Specifically, scrubs tend to do the following: play faction pure, play at least one mech, play no more than one artillery, play no more than 2 different VTOLs, and charge only if at/near salvage. ORIGIN: ?
VTOL-WARRIOR: a player who utilizes VTOLS as his/her primary means of delivering damage, and builds armies to maximize this potential. ORIGIN: ?

ORIGIN: MRFrenris FAQ
Lego- Legionnaire, a type of mech design. ORIGIN: MRFrenris FAQ

Oh, come on, make sure you give credit where credit is due! Warpog is from Warflail, who, if I recall correctly, is mortified to have his name associated with the cheese. :)
I'm not sure, but I think that Man-in-the-Middle (MiM) originated with JonBoy. I heard him mention it during Origins this year. It was the first I heard of it.
Infiltarte (in-fill-tar-tuh) 1. adj. - descriptor of a person who uses infiltrate excessively. "I played this last weekend and played a guy who was a total infiltarte." 2. verb - the act of infiltrating excessively, found most commonly before the 1st turn immunity ruling went into effect.
uh, from me
Fluffer: A Person who will put his opinion forward that tankdrop is ubercheese in any and all discussions that actualy accept such tactics. This person will not add to the discussion just mention how Mechless is cheesy.
As far as who originated what. I never gave credit to as where the term came from.
I believe Lt. is just saying that he pulled it right out of the players guide I did. He just copied and pasted it, he isn't saying that I came up with it.
I'm all for you copying and pasting it Lt. I plan on doing the same when I find new stuff in your version!
CHARGEMONKEY: a player who utilizes the charge mechanic as his/her primary means of delivering damage, and builds armies to maximize this potential. ORIGIN: ?
Origin: Me.
I caught a lot of #### about this expression from people who didnt feel charging was a problem. They would say stuff like "stop calling it chargemonkey, it is a perfectly valid tactic and doesnt need a silly name to degrade it". Oddly, almost all of those people were BR (BR Lego), DF (pick your favorite chargemonkey) or SC players (Arnis).

Warpog- ... ORIGIN: MRFrenris FAQ
Yeah, Warpog is named after me. I just hope the un-nerfing of arty in AOD is compensated for by new rules/cards/units.
"Arty dancing" or "the arty dance" is an artillery duel between two or more artillery with attached 3-capacity transports. Fire, load/move, his turn, his resolves, he fires again, loads/moves, your turn, you move/unload/fire, etc etc etc. La la la, back and forth to the sound of the music.
Someone should probably point out that calling someone a scrub is highly offensive to some. Likewise, calling someone a cheesehead is offensive.

*raises hand* Guilty ;) and I seem to be running out of room... :cheeky:
here's one for ya:
Nimball- The semi-official online RPG-style sport of MWRealms that has no rules and tends to get out of hand. The victor is decided by whoever is the only one to post after a long time. Every game has been won by Timberwolf MK2 (In team games snakemarcato13, lethewaters, and Mechafan have been on the winning team as well)
Origin: ChargerIIC
angus drummund syndrome: the condition where the mad cat's torso and head is looking up towards the sky. Looks as though Angus , a SC pilot, is seeking a vision. Later Mad Cats still suffer this condition.
Tankwarrior : someone who likes to field only tanks and more tanks. Not to be confused with arty warrior.
Infantrywarrior : like the above "-warriors", only the players field lots of infantry units.
ATVwarrrior: lots of ATVs
Arnis: the fabled unique Dasher II from Liao Incursion. The chargemonkey king and infamous for charging into everything.
