If points are now determining class, it there anyway for CBTers to find out tonnages of new mech in AoD? Does WK have ANY plans yet for a tech readout or somesuch? They really need to get on that.

i dont think points are detemining weight class in AoD (not like in the latest SVII). the new mechs will have the model number and weight class printed on them.

Points are not determining class. Class will be done like in CBT by weight, but simply heavier mechs will cost more point wise. Class listings are on the dial. Exact tonnages are sketchy right now, but hopefully the new fiction site that is coming out for AoD will have something.

We can only determine tonnage if it is printed (CORRECTLY) on the dossier card, or some other form of official knowledge.

No. Allegedly there will be a new website launched with AoD that will have stuff like that on it. Technical readouts and the like.

I sure hope so. My single biggest complaint about MW:DA has been the lack of fluff. Can we at least get a real deal universe sourcebook? ToD doesn't count.

My biggest complaint is the quality not the quantity. I'd rather have small amounts of Fluff with high quality and thought put behind it. Then again right now we are getting poor quality and not very much.

Heh. Technology of Destruction is a technicolor joke compared to the BattleTech Technical Readout. But eh, they had to dumb it down for the enormous quantity of players who didn't know anything at all about the BattleTech universe, right?

I was really disappointed w/ ToD as well... it was so light content-wise. It felt like a large-format brochure... I wonder if it was rushed, or just poorly concieved from the getgo.

I don't see why they couldn't do a TRO for each expansion with info for each unit comparable to a dossier +. Didn't they do some codices or something for MK? Something like that would be great.

I think it would be better to release a TRO for every three expansions, that way they can actually make it look like something worth buying.
