Just out of wonder does anyone know if wizkids even cares if us fans sent in mechs that we designed?

For licensing reasons they'd deny ever receiving them. This is because they will not want to be exposed to a suit on the offchance that they innocently include something you featured on your design.

In essence it's like novel writers. When you write a series like Harry Potter you're usually a little further along the storyline than the latest book. You probably have plot ideas already sketched out and chances are the seeds of that plot were planted earlier in the series. However if someone hands you a plot that corresponds to what you are doing then you are open to a lawsuit.

In most instances all that happened is you had your plot laid out and seeded it in a book. Some bright spark then sees what comes next but in their arrogance believes they thought of it (rather than the truth, which is that the author had already laid the ground for the next plot) and sues the author.

Considering the track record of Battletech with such things, they will take no risks whatsoever! :)

I think that anything you post at the Wizkids forum immediately becomes their properity and you waive any rights to it. (Reading the forum rules before you hit agree is always fun and a little scary). The same might apply here, I can't remember.

So... Just post is at the Wizkids site - it's submitted, and they can legally use your stuff. And you'll be able to point at the post and say ain't I clever!
