Since my venue lost its envoy status for a while, this weekend marks our AoD release game. We are to bring 200 points, and purchase an AoD booster and build to 300 points from there. You don't have to use all of the 200 points you brought, so if you get an 280+ point mech your not SoL. My thoughts were to cover my bases. I know it's not faction pure but I was thinking more of practicality.

SwordSworn Paladin Defense System -82pts
StormHammer Aesir -46pts
Highlander Sniper Team x3 -72pts
Total: 200pts

Artillery, Anti-Air, and an infiltrating infantry formation. All units have Armor piercing and deal at least 2 damage, so I can deal with any pesky armor that may arrive.

So I was wondering what other people would bring to such an event?

You are going to a tournement type that has a type very few of us will play.

As such I doubt little to no reaction on your request as it was painfull to built incomplete armies for the regular pre release.

You have indeed covered the basics very well, if possible I would throw in a slyph or atc to get vc3.
