The Yasha VTOLs looks to be a good replacement for the Donar/Balac. The have good range, a long ballistic attack, and AP. luckily their attack valuse and defensive values are a little lower than the Donars.
Yes the new Shiro makes the old Shiro look weak. The pilot's special ability is a bargain and we now must pray WK did not make a Heavy double Rate card or it will be Assault take 10 followed by Take 10 more.
The Goshawks are interesting, but I don't know if I'd play with them.
The Yasha vtols will die before you can even use them so no point in playing with them.
9 ball is umm well just as good as the original and with its pilot in it and Experimental pulse (We would need a clarification if it counts.) would be nasty.
Kumo has an ability Jade Falcon players will love, but I doubt if I would use it.
The Rokurabi will definitely see a lot of use as Wahab Fusilli's new mech...
Yasha's are meh IMO although they do fill the gap between the JF Sylph and the next cheapest attack VTOL.
The JF Goshawk could be very nasty, and being a Medium it might make good use of the ECM card. I don't think I'll play any of the others.
The Rokorokubi is potentially nasty like the first one except now you can have a bunch. An inch from death and it'll still do 3 damage in melee with a 13 attack. I could see a kamikaze charge from one of these in the right circumstances.
We have an awesome Shiro, an infantry squishing Spider (Some irony there), Grinder Light (Same profile, lighter damage curve) Excellent VTOLS and cool medium mechs. The DF Goshawk has just as much nastyness factor as the Falcon one. Remember Non falcon Mechs can DFA too!!!!!!!
Love the "Kumo" Stalking Spider!!!! What an evil 'mech :devious: Fits my play style perfectly....bwaaahaaahaaa, bwaaahaaahaaa, bwaaahaaahaaa :devious: :devious: :devious:
Not sure I'm crazy about the Kurita low attack to high design paradigm. With the damage not measuring up at the end, in some ways I see it as the negative of the steel Wolf without the positives. Save, of course, those final suicide runs. What ya all think? I certainly can't wait to try it out...
