Mechwarrior September Event Prizes

MechWarrior September Tournament Prizes!

The following events will be run under MechWarrior: Age of Destruction rules.

For the month of September, the following prizes will be available for specific events. Make sure your retailer and Envoy know what events you want to participate in, so that they can schedule now! LE's may show up again in different tournament format types.

Please Note: These kits are subject to change without notice. Prize kit contents may vary depending on figure availability. While WizKids will make every attempt to ensure that every venue who signs up for the appropriate event receives the prize kit as stated, last minute changes and substitutions may occur.

Oh well, at least I get one more shot to get the ROTS pieces I need in September. Interesting name snafu for the ROTS NC, "Headmistress?" instead of Duke. Could be the name of an Annihilation GS or LP mech perhaps?

Three cards as prizes for a sealed event? Would not expect a big turn out for that event. Battlemasters will have to schedule it to coincide with the release of the next set, otherwise I doubt that many people will drop $30 to buy Firepower boosters

2 mechs for the winnter?

The Loki and Stalking spider? Am I seeing that right, if I win I get the Loki and Stalking Spider, that is insane, well I already own both of them but wouldn't mind more (provided I win of course). and NO they wont be seeing EBAY. :)

There are three prizes. One for the person who places first, one for the person who went second and one for the person who got most fellowship votes. By the way, is it true that the person with most fellowship votes has the luxury of choosing his/her prize before the person who finished second?

I've got all the Knights from FiP (or will have once WK sends my
corrected "Duke" back to me! C'mon, guys! It's been almost a
month, already!)! I'll be shooting for "Sei-gi" w/Dirks! ;)

Note that Fellowship isn't awarded to a top vote getter. The Battlemaster can take a vote and use that to influence his judgement, but it's his judgement that determines Fellowship.

One thing to watch, though, is the prize kits. One of our recent prize pack instructions (I think for a storyline) noted the Champion got two specific prizes and the Fellowship go the other. There wasn't a second place prize.

I find it pretty "stupid" to have 90% of the prizes the same as the last two months!

No wonder MW tourney scene is failing. And I'm a BM. I'm finding it hard to get players that want to play. they'd all rather play Star Wars Minis.

I thought the object of the game was fun and fellowship. It sounds to me as if
your players may be playing for the wrong reasons. Just a thought.
