Hello people, its about time, I found a Storyline event near me that I MIGHT be able to go to, its the Deja Vu All over again storyline event, Steiner vs Kurita for what ever reason, I dunno I just want experience hehe, any who I am haveing trouble building my 600 point army, at least Half of it needs to be Kurita which is fine but I dont have enough Kurita units probably, but I will list you ALL the Items I am torn between, and in hopes my fellow players can help me build it.

Thanks dude, I actualy did go and just made a 599 point army on the spot, record....more losses and one victory condition than any thing else HAH!

I know this is too late to help ya now... but next time around, dont use the elite yasha, use the vet, the AP is much better then anything the elite gives you on such a unit. esp if you know you will be seeing other HK armys.

hehe true Scaleback, my Yasha's were taken out fairly quickly, even though I did manage to last long enough in a battle...even though I think I am a poor Kurita/Fury commander hehehe

As long as you weren't wiped out in the first ten minutes of the game, you gave it your best. If you have one available, you might want to try out the Kurita Nova Cat. I admit that it doesn't look too spectacular, but it is capable of ranged combat until the last click and goes up to an attack of 12 without a pilot in the last four clicks of its life.

Actualy I do, and ya it pretty fugly! heheh, I was planning on adding it in to a point force in a storyline or other event, along with my Hashira :-D

It is true the vet yasha's are better than the elites do to the armor piercing......but I was not looking at the unit itself but more the build total...I personally hate being under pointed so try always to hit or be close to the build total.
I figured I would try to help poseidon8223 out since no one else had responded to his request for help The army was built in the five minutes I had before going to work.
I am sorry to hear how your battle went poseidon8223, But I hope you had fun playing what ever army you constucted as that is the main thing to remember when playing this game. Have fun, and I hope you have more luck and pieces in the future

@Aramis, oh I agree with ya there I dont want to ever start giving up points, I just really dont like the elite yasha and I really do like the vet. more or less I was tryin to give him advice for the next time. I did not see his post in time to give him any help for this event.


@Poseidon8223 if you plan on playing HK you might want to do some trading and pick up some Oni, they are some great little buggers.
I play some HK and I think the best advice i can give is try to watch what danger your moving into with a unit. if its one to three points worth of damage you may take to to make an attack then go for it, HK does ok taking small bits of damage. but what you dont want to do is get into a situation where you might take allot of clicks in one turn, that basicly takes away your ability to use your samurai AV.

and I cant say enough about those little oni, they are GREAT. some day I want enough of them to field 600 points of nothing but HK oni.
other units that flesh out HK armys well, any shiro.
Tokugawa, I have built a love of these also, great to use one or two in your formation of oni, formation fire with them untill they have pushed or taken enough clicks to hit without the formation.
the new black blade with katana is a great unit.

Sound advise guys, and I did give it my all, I never give up, and seeing is I dont have any thing to repair my units with I tend to be the type of leader that says "Every one fights, no one quits" as for the HK Oni's, I have 1 Elite and 3 Vet's and yes they are spectaculer little farts, I want 8 of each, with 2 more HK Toku's, I have 2 already, then some other HK Units worth usin, 5 more HK Vet Yasha's with 4 more Elite Yasha's, but until I get my additional units, my Dragon's Fury portion of my army will be support for now, I even found that putting two infantry of any good BA's with a Mars Assault Tank is good hehe, in a game I had with my friend, he couldnt break through my 6 unit wall, 2 Mars tanks, with 2 Raiden BA's each, even if he did manage to get his already badly torn up Peacekeeper Malice past them, I had 2 HK Toku's waiting which were flanked by 4 Shock Troopers Each, with alot of various other groups of Infantry, tanks and Mechs hehehhe :-D
