Went two out of three with 8 VCs, and only lost the third game due to my stupidity (pressed the attack against a badly beaten Hellstar, only to miss a 9 shot and shut down).
1 x True Grit - 15 pts
1 x Rising Sun - 162 pts
1 x Arzu Shishekli - 38 pts
1 x PPC Capacitor - 29 pts
3 x CNC Scout ATVs - 42 pts
3 x CNC Elite Thunderbirds - 69 pts
1 x SC Veteran Thunderbird - 21 pts
2 x RS Combat Technicians - 26 pts
1 x H Hadur Fast Support Vehicle - 48 pts
Used "Last Man Standing", "With Extreme Prejudice" and "Tornado" as my 3 CECs.
The only army I had trouble with was the Hellstar army. Eliminated more than half the infantry support, and the one tank, but lost concentration and let the Hellstar take down Rising Sun, when I should have backed off. Cost me the game and the tournament.
How would you improve it, using only merc/gunslingers, CNC, SC, RS, or H pieces?
the only thing I might do is put in a bishop or other transport. but thats cause I personaly do not like hopping infantry every where on foot.
The Thunderbirds are there as more of a screen to prevent charges and DFAs. Then, once the opponent closes into range, they come into their own with their 2 damage Pulse. I could throw in an R10, but it would cost a lot in terms of removed infantry.
