Well w/ Origins fast approaching, I've got a few questions that some of you may be able to answer.
1. National's day 2-3 on Origins website says that they are 600 pt builds, Southpaw as said on Wizkids forum that they will be 450. What is the deal?
2. What is the status of the World's Fellowship? Events are listed at Origins, but Wizkids has not sent out invites yet. Wizkids will not answer or respond.
3. Wizkids annouced 3 events for the Ares, but none are listed at Origins. I'm wanting to get all the prereg. stuff overwith so I don't have to stand in line for a long period of time.
1. Southpaw is the one running the event. Southpaw's clarification came after the event was posted in Origins' system. So the event will be 450.
2. I dunno.
3. WK posted their schedule on the site today. Two Ares events are scheduled for Thursday and Friday. Seeing how busy Saturday is, I imagine they dropped the Saturday event because of space/staff limits. Neither Ares event are in the Origins system, so hopefully we'll get an answer on how to register for it soon, since I'm sure the Thursday event will have lots of Nationals players in it.
Nationals and Worlds are 'all day' events. I would expect them to end sometime between 6 and 7pm.
If you're playing in Nationals, the Thursday Ares event is the one you'll need to play in. If you're doing Fellowship Worlds, you have the option for the Friday event as well.
Yep, I'm planning on attending Fellowship Worlds, so I have Friday free. The question is, on Friday, will I have time to do both? Probably not, as they're only 4 hours apart.. Ohwell.
As Rocktroll said, though, I would very much like to pre-reg for these events online, but of course, they're not set up to do so.

I have a question. I won a Fellowship spot at my National Qualifier at my venue. I recieved a invitation to the U.S. Mechwarrior Nationals. Now, this means I can either choose to play in the U.S. Nationals or the World Fellowship, right? Yes or no?
How do we even know if we qualified/invited to World Fellowships? I've won fellowship several times over the last year, but no invite. NO one that I know has received one yet.

We won't know for sure until the invites for World Fellowships come out. It should be that yes, you will be able to choose if you won fellowship between the designated timeframe (I'm too lazy to look up the dates -- Check out the WK site -- I assume the NQ was during this timeframe). If you have an invite for US nats, then you can attend US Nats. If you get a invite for WF, you can attend that. Without an invite, you can't attend the event.
Does anybody that preregistered know how to preregister for the Ares event yet? Also if you preregistered, if you want to play in Nationals do you need to sign up and pay for Sunday, even if you don't make it? Also, for the first day of nationals it is sealed. It says that you must pay $6 and then $18. Do you pay all of this on the preregister form?
The Ares event is not currently available for preregistration.
For Nationals, you sign up for the days you intend to play (note that you can't play on a later day if you didn't play the day before, or don't have an invite). You can't pre-register for the finals (Sunday). Their online system lists that as 'sold out'. $6.00 is the standard Origins fee for a half-to-full day event. The $18.00 is the cost of three boosters for the sealed portion on Friday. So the cost to play on Friday is $24.00. I'm guessing you're looking in the preregistration book? I'm referencing the event costs on their web site, which just lists a total cost of $24 ($6+$18).
Origins sells tickets for specific events (which is what you're buying if you pre-register, or register for a specific event), but they also sell generic tokens for $1.50 each.
If an event has an opening, and you don't have a specific ticket for that event, you can usually still play if you have tokens. So an event like Nationals would cost 4 tokens each day (boosters must be paid for in cash). Those tokens can also be used for events like the Battle Royales, which cost 1 token and $6 cash for a booster. If you plan on playing a lot of WK pickup/quick play games, you can get a quick play ribbon, which costs $15 (essentially 10 tokens), but that's only good for WK quick play games.
Well, I printed off the registration form from the Origins website. I can fill that out and send it in, right? That is the same as preregistraing on the website, right? So, I have to preregister for the first two days of Nationals. For the first day I will put $24 on the form?
I hate to break it to you, but according to that form the deadline for mail/fax prereg is May 25th. Online preregistration ends tomorrow (Friday). If your primary thing is Nationals, you won't have to worry about it filling up - I would expect WK has at least as many slots open for it as they sent out invites, and they'll be running additional Qualifiers at Thursday.
Just make sure you give yourself enough time to take care of registration on site. Either take care of it the day before, or get there early (registration opens at 7am).
