We have had alot of discussions about the RD faction. Whether it be competitiveness or our berzerker type dials. Since I have dedicated myself to learning this faction as a whole, I thought I would take the opportunity to start up a thread that would list my RD armies and results. I welcome any comments about my builds. All my armies will be faction pure, and if by some reason I chose to recruit someone, it will also be listed. My next entry will start off my blog.
My upcoming event is for Storyline I. I have taken three days to look at possible combinations based on what I have. I really like vtols so this particular storyline was difficult at first. Here is what I am going to run for this event.
"Bjorn" Atlas - 278
- Tseng, Rudolph - 35
- Angel ECM Suite - 43
Padilla Anti-Missle Tank - 62
Tokugawa Heavy Tank - 62
Kite Reconnaissance Vehicle - 31
4X :^: Clan Battle Armor - 68
Faction Pride - 20

The faction pride card I decided to use for this one is the +2 to speed values for attack. This to me was perfect for Bjorn. I also havent had the chance to test him out so this felt like a good time. With no vtols, the kite seemed a good substitute. Fast moving with a 16 in speed and can provide vc3 or basing. I chose the Tokugawa for the homing beacon ability. This I think would work well with all the blocking terrain. The Padilla is to help protect Bjorn and my infantry. Angel ECM suite will also help protection with its abilities. and I like my cba's for capture attempts, which I am sure to try to get.
Maybe replace 1 of your Green CBA for a Vet CBA and that would bring you up to 600. Other then that it sounds interesting and Iwish you luck. Tell us what happend. Good Luck and Good Hunting.
I want to say that I won this tourney by defeating 3 opponents, but I would have to say it wasnt the case. I did win the tourney, just not the way I wanted. Our main BM told everyone the week before that he wasnt going to be thier, but he would have a sub. Well, luck would have it that I was the only one who showed up besides the sub BM. Some other guys did show up for our later unrestricted tourney and some pick games, but not this storyline. I was a little disappointed, but a win is a win, even if its turns out to be one like this. I wont be playing this Saturday, but I will be playing the following week, so look for my next post for that tourney.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but this isn't a blog. To quote Wikipedia: A blog is a website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. This is a thread.

I appreciate your response, and I will only say that this thread is my journal of RD tournament play, and I called it blog instead of journal. I personally dont want to make a big deal out of this. I am going to continue to write my journal in here dispite that it say blog on the thread.
I want to note that I was not trying to sound sarcastic on my previous post. Blog just seemed like a better word to use rather than Journal. After thinking about it, I guess it is my goof for calling it by the wrong name. I dont want to get off topic for this thread, so I will just admit that I titled it wrong.
Eh, I just like to nitpick. An online journal and a blog apparently are interchangable, by the way. According to the taskbar on top of this page we actually have a Journals subsection, but I must admit that I don't read the journals often, if at all.
And now for something more on topic: I discovered that several of the people that I frequently play against don't really like it when I put a bunch of Rasalhague Dominion tanks in their way. It's not that they don't want to destroy the scrumptious looking groundpounders, it's just that they want to avoid damaging those tanks in such a way that they reach their sweet spot.
Well another week has ended and the weekend is here. I wont have a journal entry this week due to me taking the weekend off for the family, but I will start working on armies for next week. If the schedulet holds, I will be working on my Storyline 2 Monkey army.
I have taken a real hard look at my RD pieces for the Storyline 2 Monkey army, and I have put together what I think will do well. I am figuring on speed for this Storyline so that is what this army is based around.
"Hod" Mongrel - 140
- RISC Armor Piercing Explosive rounds - 22
- Stiehl, Gregory - 32
Anubis - 108
- Fluid Corrosive gun - 23
- Galedon Military Academy - 8
2 x MHI Hawk Moth Gunships - 96
2 x Vanguard Clan Battle Armor - 36
3 x Sylph Battle Armor - 84
Morningstar Mobile Headquarters - 50

At first, I didnt want to use the command vehicle....but after thinking about it, I figure an extra order may prove useful in the event. Didnt bring many infantry in this time, but I do feel the sylphs speed is essential. I decided to go with offensive gear on my mechs, because I was wanting to prepare incase I have to go on the offensive. My gunships will be hopefully providing cover fire while I escort the monkey. Lets just hope I have good news to bring when the event is over.
I dont have hermod, and he is one of the few that I dont have..I do know someone who has him, and I should be working a trade for him soon. I would have probably liked him for this army build, but I also like the Anubis so hopefully it will work out.
