Summer is quickly approaching and with it comes all the great things that only summer has to offer: sunny days, days at the pool, and summer-time girls. But as a gamer, summer offers something more than just getting blinded by our "all too white" friends, summer means Con Season! A time where all the money that we we spent in games this past year may finally pay off... IF we are able to score the "few" Promo pieces handed out, and toss them on eBay before people realize they made MILLIONS of those things. :)
So, don't just sit there... if you're within 5 miles of one of the major cons listed below; do yourself a favor and go. With the release of HeroClix and MechWarrior this summer.. something is bound to go down!

Big Conventions usually require entry fee to get a badge for the convention duration. I preregistered for Origions and it was $43, and last year I think I paid $56 or so for GenCon.
They are worth the entry fee in general, if you ask me. If Wizkids is there I'm sure the promos and LEs that you could end up with would make up for the entry fee alone. Not to mention they are a lot of fun.

At Origins this year (aka the WizKids games convention), there will be a seminar run by none other than Jordan Weisman himself. Here is what is in the prereg book:
"Come and meet the man behind WizKids Jordan Weisman. See all the upcoming goodies and get the inside scoop on Mage Knight HeroClix Mech Warrior and the future of WizKids. Join in a question and answer session about WizKids. Free stuff will be had by all!"
This is on Friday July 5th @ 5:00.
Give you three guesses what that "free stuff" might be...
Oh yeah and there are tons of MK and Heroclix games scheduled btw. :)

Also for you West Coast folk, KublaCon will be held over Labor Day weekend in Oakland California. $40 admissions. I know for sure that there will be some sanctioned tournament play. PM me if you have questions.
Does anybody know of a list of ALL the conventions? We have one here called RadCon, but I don't think its as big as others. Also, does anyone know of one in Kansas? Around the Wichita area?
