Ok Here goes some of you may have seen My revelation in the use of large Mage Spawn well i Spent Some time and came up with a viable army for it here goes:
300 pts.
Formation 1
3X * Potbellied Gremlin
* Bond Maker
** Minotaur Mage

Loners:
Wyvern
Gate Lord
***Imp


You setup the formation so that the Goblins are in front then the Bond Maker and add the minotaur at the Frmation's Back thn follow it with the Wyvern and Gate Lord so.... What do you think?

I still think the Bondmaker/Gremlin formation is horribly inefficient, not only because Warrior Sprites can do this better and cheaper, but also because you can't put the Gremlins in a straight line... you'd have to arrange this in a diamond-type formation to get all the mage spawn touching the Shyft for a legal formation.

Balduvian is right about the formation shape, but I think it's pretty interesting.

Especially because Gate Lord and Wyvern are two #### good pieces, if used well they can cause a lot of trouble to any opponents.

You have a blocker (Imp) and a heavy Harasser (Wyvern), and a good formation with Magic Blast and LI.

The Gate Lord is naturally difficult to beat, and a swarm eater. I think your army can be effective, with correct terrain and its placement, and patience. It doesn't seem to be the kind of army to just jump in front of your opponent.

Something else: The Bond Maker is extremelly important to you, since he takes everybody at 10'. He's a special target for any opponent.

If your idea of "being an individual" is paying 73 points to do what could be done MUCH better with 58, then I guess there's no advice I can give you that you'd be willing to listen to.

Sorry Balduvian not Kinnison but here's my Goal I Want to get away from the warrior Sprtes and i want to move towards New Possibiltys and new Choices of pieces to use and I dont think that warrior Sprites are th same for 1 can you move a MB/rammer in fomation with them? yes they are more efficient but ....

One more Note i know anyone who hs 3 Potbellied Gremlins can pull this off it does work and Sprites are annoying to me howcan you stand there Uglylooks in comparison to thos lovley Lil Gremlins:D

You can move an MB figure (Elven DM) with them at least... and it doesn't require a 31 pt figure just to make the formation either. Besides, Sprites can actually shoot themselves, and they're MB-proof.

The other problem with the Minotaur Mage is that sure, you can MB and Ram with it, but doing BOTH with it is pretty difficult. If you want to MB, you can't ram, and if you want to ram, you can't MB.

And I still maintain that you are sacrificing coverage area by using Potbellied Gremlins (who have to be arranged in a triangle to touch the Shyft) over Warrior Sprites (who only have to be touching one of the others).
