The biggest problem I see is 1/3 of the army is ranged and the other 1/3 is melee, you can pound them for a bit before bringing in the EaA's but the KI formation alone isn't enough beef to do some serious damage without Troll Backup. Should work decent enough, not enough figures for a straight Swarm and may have trouble with being out ranged by Solonavi or big bounders. One Solid F/L on your KI formation and things start looking really bad.
would be the main problem. I think it could handle one but two might be harder to deal with. The Fell can help against 14 in range figs to get yourself set up for a range attack or to the let the E@A close on the target.
I can't even bring myself to imagine what would happen if you went against a ML army... (The word "slaughter" comes to mind.) ^_^
Your first formation is as slow as it can be , moving only 6" per turn... But ok , Arties are great , I must admit I love them too... And combined with the Priestess they can be extremely effective. But still , you should be greatly worried about being flanked... (I know you have the reaper to help you deal with that problem , but it's usually not enough by itself...)
In your attempt to make this army more "flexible" , you probably made a big mistake. Your formations are great , but they don't really work very well together... I would drop one of them and re-create it , in order to fit in the context of the army in general. (Note : Don't remove the reaper)
One thing interesting about the army is that I was never flanked due to the fact that the KI Swarm works in one flank and the Reaper helps to keep the opponent away..
The big problem are the body guards:
Centaur Leutnants
Amazon Mancatchers
Tough call on the Reaper, that thing is great but a few additional KI troops would be very handy. With the speed of the KI your going to leave the trolls in the dust, but you could hold the KI back while waiting for the Trolls.
Maybe drop the Reaper, add another KI troop and add in some harassers(shade + Imps) with the points left over?
ML would definetly be a problem, your trolls are fine but a multi ML'd Rammer would eat your KI formation alive....sadly its a problem thats gonna be out there and you just gotta hope for the best in that regard.
I think you should drop the Troll/Priestess Formation and add another melee formation. (Note: Please don't turn this into another KI swarm , it's getting a bit old...)
By the way , It doesn't have to be a KI formation. Even a OR or AG formation with some good melee fighters would be great!
1- You could add some Tribal Brutes , Crushers or Half-Trolls and use a Clurch Piper for the Force March.
2- Or , if you like AG better , a formation with some Blade Golems* and Utem Guardsmen***.
(Note: Of course , these are just two examples... but there are hundreds of possible combinations here.)
Either way , this would surely give you some great options. You would then have two great formations , with some excellent b2b fighters , who could slash their way into almost any army.
Then you would just have to worry about basing the enemy figures. For that , you should have some kind of harrasment. To get the needed points , you could switch the Reaper for a couple of Shades* and use the rest of the points to upgrade some figures and add some more melee fighters.
But be careful when you replace the F.R. , use the points wisely!
If you need to know anything else , feel free to ask. :)
