I'm going to play against some friends this week.
We will use 300 point armies, without necromancy (it kind of takes the speed out the game)
I was thinking of building my army around the Hierophant.
Now I really don't know what other figures I should use...
I was wondering if he'd do well with another unique at his side.
The other uniques I have are:
- Magus Draconum
- Troll Chieftain
- Paladin Prince(!!)
- Magus
- Neophant
- Arcane Draconum (can't/won't use him!!)
- Krugg Seer (can't heal the Hiero)
- Thanatos Reaper (too expensive)
- Revenant Priest (can't heal the Hiero)
- Wind Minion (!!)
I don't really think it would wise to use another unique, but I really really would like to do that!!
I've got almost every non-unique figure from the Rebellion-set, but I don't have much harassers like Imps (2* 1** 1**) and Shades (1***)
Heres something Old School to use:
Heriophant 145
Paladin Prince 71
* Imp X2 10
** Imp 7
*** Imp 8
For 59 points put in:
Centaur Champion
or
*** Amotep Gunner 24
* Demi-Magus 22
** Utem Guardsman
Heirophant can shoot stuff while the Prince heals him. The imps fly around to tie stuff up and block too. If you have the Champion he is an amazing bodyguard and a good skirmisher. If you pick the AG formation you can flame formations or hit a single figure for 4. The Guardsman can be used to help in close combat.
I really like the idea of using the Hiero with the Prince at his side!!
I was wondering if it would work well if I'd include:
- 3x Amothep Gunner***
- Imp*
Or would it be better to include the figures named in the post above??
The Prince works well with Hiero, but in 300 points you'll get out of actions pretty quick. That's no good.
I would try to include strong chargers (Heavy Cavalier, Nightmare Reaper ***, Heavy Lancer, Hatchetkrugg, Centaur Champion, Centaur Lietenant) to keep him safe from basing attempts.
A good healer is the Centaur Medic ***. Her charge makes things easier. The best option IMO would be a Faith Healer *** though.
Imps are good, as they can base opponents and then breakaway with flight, allowing Hiero to smack them next turn. Problem is that they slow you down.
I know you would love to add another unique, but I can't recommend that. Chances you'll get smashed are huge. If I had to put one, I would only consider the Centaur Champion, or Wraith.
