In my first game I came up with several questions that are not (I think) in the rulebook and I need answers for them.
Please help me.
1. What is desmoralized in the combat rules? Is seems that none desmoralized warrior can return the attack, but when and how a warrior is desmoralized?
2. When using Warriors of other expansiones where are the levels for that warriors?. In the dungeon knights the levels are in the base.
3. Can a warrior move laterally? and backwards? The cost for both?
4. Where I can find the rarity or the trading value for each figure?
5. Which are the best hero figures?
6. How do you enter to the column section in the map 6? Laterally? There is a column at the entrance of the chamber. What is the cost?
7. Though it is not turn always a figure can return the attack?
8. How many spins can a figure do? Cost? How do you face at the end of movement? Any cost?
9. When it changes of level do I have to change one click of the hero up to the right level?
10. What happens when all mosnters dies? Is there any chance to refill monsters?
11. How do dragons move along the dungeons? Is there any limitation?
12. What are the value points for warriors or monsters for different levels if they are from other expansions? I assume level 1 is the one in the base but what about the other levels of experience?
13. What are the best boosters packs or expansions for Dungeons beside Dungeons?
14. In the treasure there are magical objects: boots, potion, armor,... What are the values for them? How do you use them?
15. There is a rule that says that when a combat end the turn ends. The question is if after the attack of a HEro can I move a monster and combat with it or even move the hero that didn't move previously move it? I guess that a hero or a monstar cannot move, attack and move again.
Sorry but all of these questions are from our first game in the dungeons...
Despite all these questions IT IS A GREAT GAME!!!!
1. What is desmoralized in the combat rules? Is seems that none desmoralized warrior can return the attack, but when and how a warrior is desmoralized?
Demoralized is a special ability defined on the Special Abilities Card (SAC). It occurs when a yellow square appears in the damage box. The yellow square also has a 0 damage value. You get to the yellow square by clicking damage on to the figure.
2. When using Warriors of other expansiones where are the levels for that warriors?. In the dungeon knights the levels are in the base.
Using figs from the other expansions: they don't have levels, just a point cost on their base, they always start where the green square (or triangle if that fig starts with a damage special ability) is in the damage slot.
3. Can a warrior move laterally? and backwards? The cost for both?
Yes and yes - the same as moving forward, namely the cost of the terrain involved.
4. Where I can find the rarity or the trading value for each figure?
The rarity value can be found by going to the Figure Gallery on the WizKids Site or by getting the Mage Knight Collectors Guide or by looking at numerous figure spoilers on the net - for example that at www.mkrules.net. The trading values vary quite substantially and are mostly a matter of personal opinion - E-bay is a good place to look for uniques - maybe look at the singles prices of some on-line stores to get some idea.
5. Which are the best hero figures?
This is a matter of opinion. I prefer 4 hero teams that have a decent melee fighter, a healer, a thief, and a good ranged attacker with a special ability (like Mage Blast or Shockwave or Flame/Lightening).
6. How do you enter to the column section in the map 6? Laterally? There is a column at the entrance of the chamber. What is the cost?
You can move diagonally for the cost of an extra +1.
7. Though it is not turn always a figure can return the attack?
Not quite, whenever a figure is attacked - it gets a free counterattack at the attack if the attacker is in it's front arc and it has the means to make the counterattack. Figures with no range can not counterattack a ranged attack even if is in their front arc.
8. How many spins can a figure do? Cost? How do you face at the end of movement? Any cost?
During your move you can change your facing at any time. Otherwise you get to free spin when an opposing fig ends it's move adjacent to you.
9. When it changes of level do I have to change one click of the hero up to the right level?
One or more - when the hero levels up you immediately click it up to the new level - regardless of how much damage it had. Leveling up is often called "healing up" as a result.
10. What happens when all mosnters dies? Is there any chance to refill monsters?
Then they are all dead (unless a mage spawn with necromancy brings them back). No. You can still go after your opponents heroes.
11. How do dragons move along the dungeons? Is there any limitation?
The rules for using dragons in Dungeons have not been published yet. They have been promised but not yet delivered by WizKids.
12. What are the value points for warriors or monsters for different levels if they are from other expansions? I assume level 1 is the one in the base but what about the other levels of experience?
See the answer to #2
13. What are the best boosters packs or expansions for Dungeons beside Dungeons?
Rebellion, Unlimited, and Sinister are best. Lancers and Whirlwind contain mounted figures that are not usable in Dungeons.
14. In the treasure there are magical objects: boots, potion, armor,... What are the values for them? How do you use them?
The values are shown inside the chest - they add to value of the hero using them and can gain/replace special abilities with a new one. If it is a potion you use it at the beginning of your turn by assigning it to a hero and the effects last until the beginning of your next turn. Other items can be reused - each turn you assign the chests to a hero who uses it during his/her activation, after which it returns to the player for reassignment next turn.
15. There is a rule that says that when a combat end the turn ends. The question is if after the attack of a HEro can I move a monster and combat with it or even move the hero that didn't move previously move it? I guess that a hero or a monstar cannot move, attack and move again.
During your turn you get as many activations as you have heroes on your team at the start of the game (or 2 if playing with a single hero). You can use your activations to move heroes or mage spawn - when you have combat it ends that activation for that particular figure. You can not activate the same hero more than once in your turn.
ok, i dont play dungons but i know most the rules. Only mage spawn are monsters. They must be from the dungon set also. Go to the dungon forum and ask there. They will know.;)
1) In general heroes are not used as monsters, but according to the rules if all players agree then they can be used as Monsters. They can not get experience or level up when used as monsters.
2) Face them whichever way you want when they are done moving.
3) Best way to learn the tactics is to play the game. Other than that - read all of the Dungeons forums here at MKRealms and you'll find all kinds of tactical gems. The problem is that like Rebellion, there are lots of tactics and which ones are appropriate to use is very dependent of the situation you face at the moment you face it.
