please correct me if i'm wrong. if you push a fig to death, the player that last damaged it gets its points, right? what if it was never damaged? take the tormented soul for example. or what if it died just because you kept pushing it? WHO GETS THE POINTS?
first of all, you never ever attempt to push a tormented soul coz it only has 1 slot of life.:D
once you push it to death, you only give 30 pts to your opponent easily.
best thing you can do with it is you wait for a opposing fig to base it so you can attack without having to push. its deadly when its in b2b.
or you use technomancer to levitate it then attack on your next turn coz experienced opponents usually wont base your tormented soul. they would rather attempt to range attack it.
so the best thing you can do is use it with figs that has ML.:D
i could have my reasons for pushing a tormented soul or any other fig for that matter. for instance, if it was the best or only way to kill a key figure in my opponent's army.
anyway, it wasn't a question about the tormented soul per se. i'm more concerned with WHO GETS THE POINTS. if my fig was never damaged by my opponent, does he still get its points?
if i read your answer, though, i'd have to say that your implied answer is "yes." but is this right?
i just remember reading that if a fig is pushed to death, the opponent whose fig last damaged it gets its points. but if it was never damaged in the first place, then, imo, no one should get its points.
When a figure is eliminated through push damage, the last OPPONENT to successfuly damage it receives the points. If no opponent has damaged it, then the points are devided up evenly between all your opponents.
NIGHTHAWK: There are times when pushing figures is very important, especially pushing them to death. The most common reason to is to end the game immediatly. There are times you do want to do that.
Times like when your opponent is rushing back to his starting area with captives and all you have left is an almost dead Leech Medic, pushing into demoralized ends it before he gets all those double points.
Can somebody tell me where exactly it says that a character killed through pushing goes towards his opponents point total?
We had this situation come up in the tourny last weekend and it almost cost me my 2nd place in the tournament. We couldn't for the life of us find the ruling on this even though we had heard it before.
Any help finding this rule would be greatly appreciated.
