Well I have never really played 200 before. So when i was invited to play a 200 point battle with a friend, I was stumped. I really did not want to just play something everyone else knows and plays. It took me some time looking at my pieces but I came up with something. I doubt it is good enough for tourny play but it won the battle with only losing a single piece.
that is a pretty good swarm army. the big problem though is a complete lack of range and healing/necromancy. next time you face someone who uses range, they would probably take out the bladesmen, then kill the figs remaining.
Healing and necro isnt nescessary but the low speed and no range is a problem. Take out one warbear. Combine the two formations. Take out the shade add a *** scorpem gunner and if u have points left add some harassment.
Then it moves in less actions. U still keep the same fire power and u might still maintain the harassment.
Actually that severly limits the fire power. That makes my whole army glassjawed. My point was for the crystal bladesmen to have someone to help when they lost thier WM. The warbear. Taking that away it becomes even more vulnerable. To get to range pieces I place the one blocking terrain to one side, then place the other about 7 inches away and to the opposite side. This lets me sneak along and allow minimal hits to be taken before I engage. I also use the shade to harras range and the Heavy Lancer to offer a threat before I get to the destination.
