Conversation on Necropolis counselor between Axe-Knight Kron and Jarl Ironhammer as recounted and recorded by myself, Makron, Lorekeeper- Jarl Ironhammer-Tell me as you have told my advisors of all you witnessed at the battle for Sigmund Bridge. Kron-Ay, lord. Word had been sent that the undead were making a march upon Sigmund Bridge. Immediately, my axe-knight brethren and I assembled… Jarl Ironhammer-Yes, Yes, you called upon the berserkers, fusers, pikemen and other troops under your command, as did the other axe-knights, and assembled at the bridge….I know of that, tell me of the strange necromancer. Makron, be sure write this to the exact letter. Kron-Very well, at the battle field was a sea of zombies: marsh, hounds, detonators, goodly trolls even, and of course the average zombie. Yet behind this see was only one performer of the necromanctic arts. Scouts on steam horses reported the same, no other grave robbers or night witches could be found. Thorman, my brother, spoke of this necromancer’s aloofness and how we would bring him back to his proper senses. The battle commenced and we began felling zombies as a man harvests his grain, and with little worry of them returning (for what could one man do), we took to the battle at leisure. I easily cleaved a zombie in to and then looked to the necromancer with wonder. He was just watching. A moment later he raised his hands into the air and uttered a phrase no ear could hear……all around us the destroyed undead pulled themselves together and began their onslaught anew. It was as though we had done nothing to them…. Jarl Ironhammer-What! No necromancer could do that. He raised the whole field….it is impossible! Hmmm……continue Kron-A sense of urgency filled me and my men. We surged forward towards the unholy thing, but our going was slow for whatever we felled soon rose again. The detonating zombies were the worst, they killed with no thought. I saw with my own eyes a detonating zombie take out 7 of zombies for just a single dwarf. My brother, Thorman, led his berserkers forward and broke through the zombie line. They rushed the beast. The necromancer raised his hands and extended them towards the my brethren and from them spouted black lighting, yes black as coal, sure as I be a dwarf. Jarl Ironhammer-Hmmm…. Go on, please. KronMy brother, luckily, was left unscathed. He rushed towards the necromancer and sank his axe in. It might have been a trick of my eyes, but from where I was, it looked as if Thorman’s axe slowed right before it struck. The thing smiled at my brother then flew into the air and put its hand over the wound in its chest. When it removed it, it was as no wound had been there…the only sign my brother had struck it was a slice in the things robes. It pointed a hand at my brother and the black lighting erupted from it, engulfing my brother in unholy flames. Three of my fusers rose their guns and struck true: the first struck the shoulder, the second the thigh, again I could have sworn the shot slowed just before it struck, the third hit the beast in the stomach, but this time there was no slowing. It was a perfect and beautiful shot. The beast let off from his burning and fell to the earth. My brother, enraged rush forward and sunk his axe into the necromancer’s back. To my horror the necromancer got to his feet, the axe still in his back. He looked like a wild animal, now. The face I saw under that hood was not the face of a man. It was surely twisted with rage and hatred. Thorman stepped back and the beast lunged for him, and grabbed his face with both hands. What happened next will haunt me to my grave. My brother started to shrivel and then just became dust. When my eyes finally turned towards the necromancer, he was whole again. I ran at him, unaware of any danger to myself, my only thought revenge. Yet, as I swung my axe, he was gone and the undead immediately fell where they stood. There was no celebrating of victory in the eve that came. Jarl Ironhammer-It is as I thought, a counselor. Kron-a counselor, my lord? Jarl Ironhammer-Makron, please explain. Myself-Yes my lord. Counselors are ancient vampiric necromancers. The counselors are those that guard the idol which holds the spirit of Tezla. They are weilders of the unholy lightning and powerful necromancers. Because of their age, their immediate need for blood of the living is almost non-existent, but as you saw, Kron, when they are greatly wounded, they revert to their more primitive state and are liken to animals. Their need for blood consumes them and all other thought is lost. Yet, because of their immense power, they have the ability to absorb the very essence of life through touch. They also have the inherent ability to shield themselves from attack. Hitting one is quite difficult, but when one would connect, the shield slows the blow, thus weakening its strength. They can regenerate themselves easily without any need from outside sources. They are extremely dangerous and are considered the greatest users of the necromantic art. Jarl Ironhammer-Thank you Makron, and thank you Axe-Knight Kron. That will be all. The other Jarls must be alerted of the presence of a counselor.
that thing looks like way more than 76 points. quickness and necro is a favorite idea of mine though. i guess the lack of depth in the dial makes up for the low points.

I didn't like the idea of giving the old Necromancer Quickness, I think it wouldn't help much, considering his stats.
Now this idea sounds much more attractive, we would have a strong necro figure, with superior range, decent attack, average damage, good defense with toughness and the combo Quickness / Necromancy.
It would be more expensive than the old Necromancer, but much better. And with a cool name.
After Taking a second look at this thing, my goodness, this is a beast. Very well done. Short lifespan works well with the regen. And the fiction really brings the character to life.
Excellent figure. It kinda reminds me of the Judge, as a type of wild card figure, but that could also be because I'v been trying to figure how to use the Judge lately, anyway great figure and fiction too.
the necropolis sect is the one that I favored when I was a noob and I would really like to see it have a decent necromancer that I would not mind building an army around.
The zombie baron is just too cumbersome and the necromancer.....
