The Drac 'hides' behind the two stalkers w/ the knights on either side (necro formation) While the healer hangs behind. The temple lord is in front and off to the side to draw fire and make use of his magic retaliation.
The group moves in untill they are close enough for the knights to break formation and move in w/ the lord. The stalkers also move in if they have no more clear shots. The MD never has los problems, he lays waste w/ MB
I dislike the faith healer... but i don't know what else to put in, and I'm in need of a healer.
I had this army with a pack of Ferel bloodsuckers (*,**,***) w/o the *** stalker and the Lord. (I also had an imp in there)
I haven't play-tested this, and I'm probally not going to have a chance to before my next tourny, so any advice would be welcomed.
The Lord doesn't server a lot of purpose, he works well in melee formations but not quite as a loner, no range attack so he's at the mercy of the opposing snipers. A wraith in its place would work well, with the Hindering to protect it and the Magus D you could do ok with that combo.
First of all, you are mixing knights with stalkers....not too hot
secondly you have a temple blademaster who just look like he is stuck in the army for the simple reason that he is a unique.
IMO, his place would be better suited as another range fig for the necro formation and some chargers to keep melee and harassment off the back of your very fragile figs.
The lord was in there because he is a good melee for not too bad of a cost... +command is always a help. But if I do drop all the way back into a totally ranged army, what do you think about dropping the healer and the lord to add a BPR formation:
19 boomer (**)
16 Khamsin Fuser (***)
35 d. Rotary Fuser (**)
for lack of better ranged figures)
as well as 2 * imps
if i can get my hands on a third ill put that in there as well. If I do want to go completely ranged, I could drop the knights for somthing like a few incenerators (deadly w/ magic enhancement.) 5 damage for cheap figs.
A: drop the temple lord and pick up the emerald glade mystery and get rid of the healer. then upgrade the **nightstalker and get a grave robber. her may not be necessary, but it will put pressure on your opponent to take him out, which could draw them into your range. and he is useful in this case anyway.
B:still drop the temple lord and the healer.get 2 **shaman and a barber surgeon to follow in contact with your original formation. the surgeon can keep your other two healers (and enhancers) healthy and in a pinch, heal your magus d. upgrade the **nightstalker, add 2 *shades or a *imp and *warrior sprite
C:drop same, upgrade nightstalker as before, add *corrupted priest to formation, then either a ***rancid bloodsucker, **centaur lieutenant, or a combination of any strength grave robber as u prefer and imps or imp and shade.
just what i think. but u could probly do ok with the army u have here, provided u have a little luck and play the game very well.
and just a note, A is probly the best army, especially since u seem to want command. that is the one i most strongly suggest, but it just depends on which one u have the figs for.
heh, i have none of the figs mentioned above, and not much time to get my hands on them (I play a lot and i am in a lot of tournies, but I don't buy too often anymore).
The Drac ME's the steamer and the boomer w/ the fusers on either side of the line and the leech medic behind
The stalkers hide behind a low wall, making use of their stealth, also giving the bloodsucker a wall to hide behind.
