he should be slower, no regeneration, shouldn't take so many clicks, no LI, and no flame lightning. you like KI too much. giving them a figure that powerful is absurd.
A wizard should know how to do thoe things, so be really corresct he should get necromancy. a wizard and a mage are different. he'd ahave the same stats and SA's for any faction

for one thing, if he gets necromancy, that woudl be straying too far fomr the storyline. since KI do not condone necromancy.
Whatever else you change, do not make him slower. The KI have yet to get a figure whose base, or double movement for chargers, is lower than 8. Their high speed is one of the things that sets them apart from other factions. Besides making him slow would just number crunch him too much for the faction since for only 18 point you can make him move in formation with someone to block LOS and have them running around at 12".
That is just plain absurd. That would be the most powerful Magic piece in the game. I laugh at any atempt made by the KI to create apowerful Wizard, Mage, Socerer, or anything to do with magic. They are not gifted with great magic and they have no recorces to learn magic. The onl way that the KI use magic is to survive.
right I see what your all saying but as far as what fsaction he is I couldnt think of what it would be. atlantis has mages, not wizards. Necropolis has necromancers and the like (dark prophets, deathspeakers etc...) and the league ahs priests and priestes'. the BPR have almost no magical affinity except for some amazons. ands I was tired of there being n wizards in a world like MK. (the closest thing is probablly scholar magus bessa)
While I think the character as its posted is overkill, just take a look at the Interactive Map. "Ancient High Elves who use their martial and magical mastery to police the Land."
I'm guessing some serious Magic using KI is coming.
what KI needs si so low costing non uniques and like maybe one Bad a$$ Magic blaster but they need something that can move with longbow archers and give them some good range combat and the faction would balance out and mae sence because then you could make all KI armies fitting in with there isolationism form everyone else
Tequilawyrm, you have merely scratched the surface. If you would look further you would find out every KI elf is imbued with magic. Thier babies are REALLY weak so the Elves pump them up with magic so they grow strong and powerful. Sort of like a Magic Steroids. The elves are actually very weak. This explains why the KI elves have the strongest melee people out of all factions. It also explains the not so good range. Swordplay is alot easier to master than archery. Especially when you are super-strong. Their swordsmen strike blows with thier swords that are extremely powerful. But an arrow is an arrow is an arrow when it hits someone. Wasted strength. The only thing is granted to powerful people in archery is the distance they can shoot the arrow. So that explains why they have great range when they have range at all. I expect to see a Mage/Wizard/Sorcerer soon enough in the KI but not even close to that good. Also a good archer.
Personally, I think if the KI should have a mage, then it should be some type of mage that has Flame/Lightning instead of Magic Blasters. Too many Mages are characterised by the special ability Magic Blast, when really a true wizard is much more. This mage would be able to control the very energy flowing through the air, and channel it to a specific location, creating a lightning effect. Also, as a defense, it should probably have Magic Immunity. The KI already show a high level of MI in their more "elite" figures. This is more of what I would picture as a KI mage:

I know that this not an all powerful mage, but I think it represents what the KI would have as far as a Mage/Wizard goes.

Pretty much designed to be support for the Longbow and Noble archers, which are not bad when given ME. Very frail for the points, but when properly supported and with a healer it is Magus material.
I'd also be happy to see a non-unique ME/MBer for the KI. As it stands, KI doesn't have much to support their archers. A shaman equivalent would be excellent, especially if it had H instead of MH.
Of course, I am just a die hard fan for the KI, so this might not be a wonderful idea.
Also, I cannot take credit for the name Temple Loresinger, but I cannot remember who suggested it.
