First of all, these abilities that are divided into three groups. Activated abilities are the ones that you choose to activate (well, in the current game it is deactivate or it is on but...), Triggered Abilities which are te ones that go off when another thing happens, and Static abilities which just happen. Note that it really gets messed up in some areas. Like Static abilities are the ones that are not optional or really do not change the figure dramatically if it is on. And technically, all abilities are triggered but this just includes the ones who are directly triggered by something.
Triggered abilities
-Ram
-Vamparism
-Venom
-Pole Arm
-Dodge
-Magic Retaliation
Magic Quickness - Speed Ability
This warrior is not effected by and can't cause any Triggered abilities.
Magic Shield - Defense Ability
This warrior cannot be the target of an Activated Ability. it cannot recieve any benefits or losses from Activated Abilities
Magic Pierce - Attack Ability
When this warrior makes an succesful attack, the figure who was the target of the atatck does not recieve any benefits or losses from its Static Abilities on its next turn.
Absorb - defense special ability
all damage dealt to friendly figures in base contact with this warrior are instead dealt to this warrior.
bounce - attack special ability
if this warrior makes a successful attack, roll 1d6 on a roll of 4,5,6 the attack also hits other opposing figures in base contact with the target taking as many damage as the target
bluff - speed special ability
you can only use this ability on your opponents turn.
before your opponents first action roll 2d6, move this warrior in any direction (in inches) equal to the result.
this figure does take pushing damage for using this ability
now thats what i call a balanced special abilities
I don't really think that this is a good idea because you cant expect people to remember what ability is in what list. Even though you and I might find it obious what group it is in, there will always be that person calling over the warlord to see if ram is stopped by magic quickness.
I don't think that Wizkids is planning on releasing any new abilities for a while, but instead will make double abilities in one stat, (like how the starting click has another ability in it) so someone could have magic blast and magic healing.
