It has Striker(big arse attacker), ME, bone-toss(harassment/light attacker) and can even play yoyo.
I've beaten a chariot(after a few hits in the head, he can't keep up with the Striker) and a OST army(skeletons works wonders against this type of armies)
There you have it, what do you think? Is this good or am I just lucky in beating those armies?
I think that it is different, but lucky. I see a huge issue with actions and moving. If your army is pinned in a corner, only the striker will be able to get out, the rest is too slow.
Is there some way you can change that? Can you fit in a Soul Stealer some way?
I would have to disagree on that one Magewarrior. He doesn't have enough actions to cover his entire army right now. How the heck is he going to work with a harrasser for 9 points? He can't even get one that can move for free.
I see that the skeletons are harrasment enough in this army. If you can use the skeletons well, they can be great attackers and harrassment at the same time.
r@g3 - I take that back. It is not all luck. It was skill. I tried an army like this a while ago and you have to be ready for anything. A good suggestion that I will share with you; move the slow right away. Take the key figures in this army (grave robber/scholar magus/ skeletons) and move them close to the middle right away in the game. Do not move the striker in the first 4 actions of the game. He can catch up with the rest of your army in 1 action. Here is what I did.
Fist turn of mine:
-Move the Grave robber up 8"
-move a skeleton up 8"
Second turn
-move other skeleton up 8"
- move scholar magus up witht the rest of the pack.
Third turn
-repeat first turn
Fourth turn
-repeat 2 turn
Or, you can switch the figures around. Also, on the third and forth turn, you do not have to move up your entire 8".
But if you take it like this, your main figures are in the center of the action. So you don't have to worry about having enough actions, your figures are already there. Then all you have to do is move up the striker and hey, he is now with the rest of your army. Wow.
Good luck to you. Now looking at it, I think this army has potential so keep at it.
Exactly what I did. One thing I always tried to do was keep the striker in b2b with bessa, this way I can push to one of the bound slots without the fear of the striker getting hit. And if anyone comes too close while the striker is pushed I send 'im a present (bones and all)
*dont waste pushing, as much as possible do it while trying to hit something.
two second place finishes out of two tourneys using it. I can't seem to manage a clean sweep. Once I lost by a measely 12 victory points. Hope you can do better with it, but i'll keep trying!
