I was reading throught the rules and i was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this question.
if i get a unit into my opponents starting area is he safe or does he still have to survive to the end of the time limit or until all opposing forces are destroyed?
thanks
aaron
2) Players receive additional Victory Points equal to twice the point value of all friendly non-demoralized warriors under their control that are in the opponent’s starting area at the end of the scenario.
Another thing that I have been less than 100% confident on since I first read the scenario: The rule says "Players receive additional Victory Points" so my interpretation is that these points are additional on top of the standard. That is, if I have a ***E@A in my opponent's starting area at the end of the game (and it hasn't been killed and necro'd) I get the usual 19 points for survival plus an additional 38 points for it being in my opponent's starting area. I read this to say that the "alternative" reading that some people I have talked to where I would get 38 points for that E@A instead of the 19 is just wrong. I'd still like to see if you all agree with me, though.
samatut, I'm pretty sure any figure in your opponents starting area are live targets throughout the entire match. The double points only counts at the end of the match. One strategy you may want to try near the end of the match is to capture an opponent and drag him back to HIS starting area. Only do this if your potential captive still has good speed stats. Then your opponent can't attack you with range. This MAY give you a slightly better chance of living until the end of the match. Also, although you won't get points for his figure...neither does he get the chance to get double points.
