1. said that you can magic heal a btb figure unless there are no opposing figs btb... yes! it means that you can still range combat a figure... so can you attack two figures btb with a khamsin gunslinger bcoz of the two arrows and can you have a magic enhancement with that attack?
2. is there a magic ret after you deliver shockwave.
3. can the double faction figs make a formation with their two factions... if yes can they compose of a EL, NS, and a double faction EL and NS for a total of three?
4. can a formation in a rebellion game be more than 5 figs.
The magic healing SA says that you can use healing if they are in base contact with the target of the healing. Thus no range is needed, no such rule exsists which allows ranged combat when in btb
If you want to get specific, you are not allowed to make a range attack while in base contact with an opposing figure. To do double or triple shot, you need to make a ranged attack, which isn't possible because of the base contact with the opposition.
You can use Magic Healing on a figure you're touching is because neither the healer nor the target is in base contact with an opposing figure. It doesn't really have anything to do with there still being distance between the two center dots.
That's the same reason your Gunslinger can't attack two opposing figures touching it... it's in base contact with an opposing figure, so no ranged attacks.
Magic Healing Requires a Ranged Combat Action. The Only thing that Prevents you from using a Ranged Combat Action is Base Combat with an opposing figure. Thus, you CAN do Magic Healing if the target is in base Contact with the Healer.
So, to answer question 1, No, the arrows refer to Ranged attacks, and b/c with an opposing figure negates that, and No, Magic Healing ignores all Modifiers.
