Hi there. I've recently purchased a KI Charger that I want to use in the week 3 event... and I need some suggestions on how to use it. Couple questions first...
1. Since the passengers front arc is considered to be both side arcs AND the rear arc of the chariot... how does sweep work. (i.e.~ can they sweep figures along an entire side of the chariot? both sides AND the back?)
2. Can a passenger still make a combat action through the arc of an INACTIVE side?
etc... anything else you can tell me would be greatly appreciated... thanks.
Well the KI charger is a powerfull piece.
Try to use it with a passenger with sweep. I use it with the Dwarven Hammerskald, because with thw Charger you have the both sides and the back, to attack, and with sweep you can hit all the enemies that could be in Base contact with the sides and the back.
The Dwarven have great attack 13, and hold the 5 of damage for 3 clicks.
Now, the strategy... the KI have an important adventage, have quickness in the front part, so in 200 pts games, you can move 10 and do not cost an action, and the you can attack with your passenger, and then with one of the sides, making a real good combo of 9 clicks of damage (5 of the dwarven and 4 of the chariot).
I recently win a tournament of 200 points, and finishing almost all my battles in 15 or 20 minutes.
Is important do not play with a lot of terrains, because you have to move quickly.
About your questions...
1)How does sweep works, As I told you before, When your passenger attack with sweep you can hit in one attack all the enemies that are in base contack with the sides and the back.
F.ex, in one conquest game, my enemy sorrounded my chariot with many steam golems and othe stuffs, and with one sweep, I make serios damage to 8 figures, that be in base contact with my chariots sides and back.
2)I thin that the answer is Yes, because is your passenger that make the attack. But I do not know it completely sure... because never any enemy can destroy a side of my hariot... Well except when I played agains titans... TITANS can destroy the Chariot .... So beware with the TITANS...
Hope this helps...
...came with your chariot, please read them thoroughly. When an opponent attacks through the "dead" side of a chariot, they get to decide which side of the chariot they affect. If your left side is dead, and I attack the left side, then I can choose to apply my attack to the front, rear or right. If I attack the dead left, and try to hit the front and succeed, there is no rolling to see if the passenger is hit, the attack is considered to be hitting the front.
Good luck, the multidialed figures are a lot of fun!
The Dungeon Heros make great passengers, because they typically have a lower defense than "standard" figures, and their defense stats do not apply when they are in the chariot. Jarl Frostriven, also at 3rd level, makes a good passenger. He has al the love that i give Lord Oren, and adds a ranged attack as well.
for conquest prop a gate lrod in ther (invuln and toguhness still dreduce damge from blow throguh though) so if chariot gets hit it would have to be 4 or more damge to even harm gate lord.
I was playign a3 poitn friendly game and my chariot was woopign up (had gat elord on back) oppontne tdidjtn have anythgin with mroe than 4 damage and bmnever blow throguh with that to gate lord. bnasically chariot ended up wrecked with liek 2 skullds left and all sides severely damagedd. I disembarked gate lord and retreated with chariot. gate lord full health + opponets w/ all 4-6 damge equals many kills
I have read the rules, but I'm still having some trouble understanding certain parts....
~ I realize I can combine the moves of different parts of the chariot to move further, but if I combine the speed value of the front side (which has quickness) with one of the sides... does that mean it costs an action since I used a side? Or maybe I don't even understand the "adding moves together part"
~ At the beginning of the turn, I spin the chariot on its center dot, then I can only move in a straight line... correct? and the spin AND the move only costs one action? or no actions if I only use the front side?
Really sorry guys. Maybe I'm just being an idiot... I'm just trying to understand everything as much as possible by this next weekend.
Yup if you move using the speed of the front and opne of the sides it would cost you 1 action coz the side does not have quickness, unlike the front
Yup, spin and move with the front will cost you no actions
All these comments are under rebellion rules. Under conquest, you can use all the sides to give it a move action but it will only cost you 1 action (and the sides cannot attack anymore)
For more questions just post them, someone will surely take up your query
