Did the green Lantern team ability just take a huge kick in the pants with the No action after taxi rule. Yes you don't need alot of taxis, but energy explosion leave you vulnerable.
I used to re-shuffle the order my characters were in to heal people and to gain tactical advantage. if thay are engaged now, and i taxi them i lose another turn of attacking. the only advantage there is i am less likely to push them.
Were the new flying rules put into place to curb the awesome potential of the green lantern power? I mean 8 fig taxi AND phasing? You're a free roaming nightmare that pops in and out of the action.
They changed the rules because without the NAAT stuff, GL team ability would be absolutely broken. To avoid the EE problem, just spread them out in a "flying V" formation. That way, only three of nine figures will be hit.

???????"flying V formation"??????? Not sure what you mean man! All 9 fig's need to be next to GL to be carried. That is how they need to start out and stop together and all next to GL.

I don't see it TechLee??? EE would still hit this group real hard. I think MrHeroclix really meant a flying V??? He is saying "only 3 of 9 would be hit". Less would be hit in your example only because there are less fiq's in it.(only 7) Guess we need him to explain what he meant.

My only point is if we have some players flying GL and a chain of fig's over the map like a flock of geese, we need to clue them in. Would be fun to watch though!

Like you guys said before. I used to fear GL team ablilty until I learned they all had to be adj. to him and that he can't taxi flyers. This has been another example of a figure with too much power being broken down.
If you really want to prevent getting EE'd, just carry a few stealthers to put down in hindering terrain in front of you. Or have someone put a Barrier up 1 spot ahead of where you want to go before you have GL taxi them.

I ran a GL team in a tourney on monday, which I won. It was 1000 pts, 8 figs max, and we couldn't use any "black" powers (stealth, outwit, etc). I used Blizzard to set up a barrier and then flew up behind it with Darkseid and Despero as my front man. I had Eclipso run around with Calypso (man that was fun to say) and Amazo run around with Ulik. Remeber that just because he can carry 8 figs doesn't mean he has to carry all 8. Also your team can take an action and THEN be carried.

How'd you use Darkseid if there were no 'black' powers allowed? He's got oodles of Outwit.
