Can a warrior with sweep capture more than one target with a single attack. She does have a big grabby thing after all. :confused: :rolleyes: ;)

Sweep cannot be used to make a capture attempt.

See the SAC entry for "Sweep."

And the logic goes something like this.

Sweep attacks all figures in your front arc.

If you to announce a capture attempt, you would then attempt to capture all figures in your front arc.

Figures are only allowed a single captive.

Thus you could end up with more than that one allowable captive which would be illegal.

Neither Sweep nor the capture rules allow you to damage some figures while damaging others in the same Sweep attack.

Actually, I just prefer the "The SAC says you can't" logic. Much more straightforward.

But yes, that is the underlying reason behind it. :)

The very errata of sweep states that you cannot capture...enough said.
