Today, in the afternoon, I went to Alternate Realms, my local toruney spot. I traded my friend a Maelstrom Golem and a couple of Atlantis Guild tough and standard figures for a ... Solonavi Striker. Was this a good trade? :confused:

the striker is DEFINATELY on of the best ranged attackers in the game, especiallt with his bound stats, the mealstrom golem is good, but the striker, just curious though, wat were the nons?

It was a very good trade from your point of view... too good perhaps? but without going into the moralities of trading, it doesn't matter what we think, instead it matters what you feel and which piece/pieces better suit your playing style.

Well I find that striker is easy to take down myself, but it seems to be a favoite figure everywhere, and the mealstrom golem has a shallow dial and wastes points for that ridiculusly huge arc, but even with that in the ballance i think it was probibly not worth it, but it comes down to what was the other figs in the trade.

Trading definitely depends on how you feel. I recently traded a Necromancer for a modified Marsh Zombie. The two are not even close in playabilty but the guy did such a terrific job on the mod that I had to have it. He added two arms, a head, and a Bone Golem's Axe to a Red Marsh Golem. He did such a great job, it doesn't even look like a mod.

Another example of a figure I traded: I traded a Dwarven Jarl for a red Heavy Lancer because I like Heavy Lancers more than I liked the Dwarven Jarl. Mounted figures are becoming a rarity themselves.

It all depends on whether or not you feel cheated. Know the figures. Go with your instinct and you can't go wrong.

It looks like a good trade. Maelstrom is harder to get than a Striker, but for playability, Striker is more useful.

It was a good trade. I wouldnt have thrown in extra figs, because their values are close to the same, but hey if you like the Striker its allways worth a little extra something.

Yes, a good trade....depending on the nons you traded. Gunners of any sort, Blade Golems, Fighting Autos, Battle Queens, or ESA's would have been a bad idea to trade.

I'm happy you guys can all relate to me and yes, I think i did a good trade too. My friend really wanted the Maelstrom Golem and I really wanted the Solonavi Striker (heard its one of the best around!) So we traded and i'm happy I did.

BTW: The figure I traded with it were

2 blue demi maguses
1 yellow impaling golem
1 yellow xandressan sailor
1 yellow fighting automaton
1 blue amotep gunner
1 blue amotep incinerator

BTW2: I didn't give him the *** red amotep gunner and incinerator I had. HEE HEE HEE:D
